okay -- you know my wife (stormygirl)...she's new to all things x and to a forum just like this(but she learns quick)...anyway, while i was cruising the forums, she asked me how old you guys were (don't get me wrong i am a firm believer in your privacy) but i told her (like i told you on a couple of different threads) i believed i was probably one of the oldest xmen fan on this forum...i told her based on pass experience most of you were in your 20s and 30s and far more experienced on the computer than either one of us (she says she's jealous) but that all that mattered was that you loved all things x...

i know this will be a short thread -- but please let her know  :)

It's nice to know that people with false teeth and wearing Depends Undergarments are reading the X-Men monthly :D .

I'm completely burned out on Claremont, but I still like the X-Men. I'm 40.

22 here, and I've been an avid fan of the X-Men since I was ten.

20, and I've been a fan since I was about 9 - starting with the 90s cartoon. While I'm not a fan of the entire franchise much anymore, a few characters still hold quite a bit of endearment to me.

Jeez. I thought there were more people that read comics that are my age. Everyone my age seems to be reading manga and stuff.

I'm 16, and I started reading about two years ago. I started buying back issues out of interest for the X-Men (I'm still not much of a comic person), but I started buying the current books with issue 445 of Uncanny X-Men. I'ts been my drug ever since.

When I was 16 and stuff, all I read was manga and such too. American comics seemed so cliche - my initial motivation for returning was because I wanted to see more well-rounded shining paragons of the feminist movement, and CC's X-Men had these kinds of characters.

turning the big 3-0 in less than three months. Have been reading X-Men books for about 18 years now.

Not knocking this thread, but there's a whole thread for this kind of stuff already. :)
