I saw the new HB figures.

Most of them anyway. A national movie retailer in the local mall had them. There are 3 version of HB, closed mouth, teeth showing, open mouth. I was suprised how big the were, Liz could kick any Spawn figures' ass. Liz looked OK, her face still looks a littled spaced out. The Lobster was great the whole way around. And Von Klempt was... sold. I guess he's one to a case? Hope they make it to comic shops soon, I ordered mine from there.

Yes, Suncoast seems to be THE place to go for these right now. Although, I picked up a Liz at the local Virgin Megastore, so it appears other kinds of stores are getting these also.

BTW, I was definitely one of the many who bagged on the Liz face sculpt originally as looking too spacy, but in person and on my shelf Liz looks just perfect and right at home :) In fact, I think she's one of my favorites from the line thus far. In other words, she's definitely grown on me.

Me too. For all my complaining about her face at first, I think she's actually my favorite of the bunch! (Sorry, Mez!) Her flames are great and her backpack's really cool and she's very posable. She and Lobster both really remind me of the Atlantis figures. Granted, the Mezco ones are more detailed, but I liked those Atlantis toys. And I guess it just goes to show that translating Mignola into 3D is going to get you similar results, no matter what kind of toys you're making.

It's interesting that these figures seem to be based on their Wake the Devil appearances for the most part (except Lojo, of course), which is a good choice for a Classic Mignola look, but the gun is definitely NOT the Zinco model featured in that series. A good choice again.
