House Of M in a Nutshell.

The Avengers handed her to Magneto for no reason.
Dr. Strange and Xavier couldn't help her.
Everyone "Lets go see her!"
Everyone goes to Genosha.
The world goes white.
Mutants now rule!
Magneto is now king of the planet.
Everyone is happy.
Wolverine annoyingly knows about the old world.
Wolverine joins the Human Resistance.
Hawkeye is alive!
The H.R. has a little mutant girl with the convient powers of giving everyone their memories back.
Wolverine has her awaken a bunch of Super Heros.
They attack Genosha on Magneto's birthday.
Emma Frost and Little Miss Plot Device find out Xavier is missing...

6 issues of House of M. The house part is basicly a referance to ruling dynisties considering the HOM reality is loosly based upon the Holy Roman Empire. The M part refers to Magneto.

I would recomend reading the entier HOM mini in one sitting. Reading it bit by bit is rather unstatisfying. But togeter it is rather good.

Spider-Man from what I can tell was bitten by a radioactive spider. He passed his super powers off as mutation. He stopped the theif at the wrestling rink. He got married to Gwen Stacy. And he had a kid. Living the dream. (I really have not been following this title much.)

The idea is that Magneto used Wanda to get Xavier to figure out what everyone really wanted. Then when remaking the world everyone would get their deepist wish (as long as it didn't conflict with Magneto's wish). That way they would be less likely to rebel against him.

Spider-man got Ben Parker and Gwen Stacy back and was popular.
Scott and Emma are married and living peacfully in the suburbs.
Wolverine is a secret serviceman, and is dating Mystique.
Mystique lives and works with her children.
DareDevil and She-Hulk are both extreamly successful lawyers.
Ms. Marvel is the world's most beloved Super Hero.
Dr. Doom got his mother back, married to Valeria, got Kristof back, and Richards died.


However Tony Stark got screwed over by his father.
Luke Cage is single and fighting for his life.

So not everyone faired well under the new world.

Mostly becouse they were humans. In a world where mutants are on top and Humans scrounging for scraps the human superheros did not fare so well.

In the special Pulse issue tie-in newspaper thing it's mentioned that She-Hulk and Daredevil have been seen kissing in back of a courthouse. In the Hulk tie-in he took control of Australia after kicking Exodus' ass.

Reed, Sue, Ben and John Jameson went on Reed's space ship, were bombarded by cosmic rays and transformed. Reed, Sue and John's transformations were all fatal and they crash landed in Latverian waters. Dr. Doom rescued the Thing and got the idea to create the Fearsome Four with his wife and son.

It is actualy a really good story. Probibly the best stuff I have read in HOM.

No, Reed and Sue died during that first trip, long before they were ever married or had a kid. So Franklin never existed in the HoM. Which is interesting...

Actually, Franklin Richards is alive, he was referred to as "the Richards boy", and is Emma Frost's main client, as mentioned in... I think it was the second issue.

Ben Grimm became "It", although he's commonly referred to by others as, "that thing".

Johnny Storm can be found in the Iron Man House of M tie in. He's good friends and a rival of sorts to Tony Stark, they both participate in an event called "Sapien Death Match" where everyone pilots robots in an arena trying to shoot each other out of the sky, or dodge Sentinels.

If you want to find out what's up with Hank Pym, you should also read that. There was some pretty insane stuff. It really wasn't what I expected.

She really doesn't have any ties to Emma at all, at least that we know of now. Just because the kid has blonde hair doesn't mean she looks like Emma (which I don't really think she does, I mean sure there are a few small resemblences), besides its just Olliver's style that makes her look similar to Emma. Just put straight blonde hair on all his women and they'll look very similar.
