I really wonder how they could peal the layers of Crap off the Clone saga?

I'd imagine that it involves keeping it shorter than the original clone saga, keeping it contained to one title, and not making the mistake of telling your readers that the Spider-Man you've been reading for decades is actually a clone.
Dang I wanted Millar and Land to stay on UFF longer oh well.

But then it realy isn't a clone saga. More of a clone "Interesting Idea."

I could see "the Spider-Man you've been reading for [years] is actually a clone" come into play here.
Hopefully it'll be "the Gwen Stacy [that died] is actually a clone". That would rule.

There's more in the following article, including an interview with Marvel EiC Joe Quesada and interior artwork from "Ultimate Vision" and "Ultimate Extinction."

Honestly, this 'gold standard' stuff seems unnecessary. Just look at the title on the side, it usually says "part 1". New #1's have a huge "1" on the cover. Why clutter up the cover with gold ink?
This would be fine for Ultimate Spider-man #100, but I don't think every 1st parter needs the gold treatment.

as much as i like seeing kirkman on ultimate x-men, i wish he was on regular x-men instead. also, i'm interested on seeing what this pitch bkv had for the ultimate line was. we need another vaughan book asap to fill the gap now.

Kirkman on Ultimate is good news.
Ultimate Vision stuff looks really nice, although one has to wonder if they'll have 2 Ultimate Vision robots around or if they'll strip mine the model that traveled with Gah-Lak-Tus and use it for the new one in Ultimates Volume 3(which is a long way off).
Can't wait for Extinction and the Ultimate X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover and Pascual's Ultimate Iron Man. Marvel locking him as an exclusive and putting him on hot Ultimate titles is the way to go.
