Personally, mine is Venom. It's because he's not original and if someone was to describe Venom relating to a animal or something it would be very difficult. Venom's all black suit is tight and goes with his tongue. He's just pure distruction.

Spidey himself. He has a great supporting cast and rogue's gallery, but I don't think any of them can stand on their own as well as the supports/rogues of some other heroes.

Well, Spidey is far and away my favorite, but I do have some favorites among the recurring guest stars, villains and supporting players:

J. Jonah Jameson Skinflint and tightwad, but just when you're ready to write him off as a complete jerk, he'll do something to redeem himself.

aaaaand

Dr. Curt Connors The Dr. Jeckyll figure that makes the Lizard such a tragic figure.

Of course spidy is my fav! He was one of the first super hero with problems. He is however one of the few super heroes with equally intresting villians. I have to say I love Venom(The Hunger Series made Eddie a truly tragic char, more so then even the lizard), Doc Ock,the lizard, and of course pathetic ol' shocker.

I agree. What the hell was they thinking when they killed Ben Reilly off and between Black Cat and Mary Jane I know who I'd choose any day meow.

Felicia is the hottest female comic book character from any publisher, hands down. Period. Good call, Murrocko.

As far as my favorite character, I have several. Way up there is Robbie Robertson.

scarlet spider or venom without a doubt, though i am still disappointed with the drawn out sorry excuse for a series he got a while back, they could have done so much more

I've always loved Vulture, Shocker, Rhino and Chameleon.

And supporting cast wise, Robbie Robertson would probably be my favourite. I do enjoy my Lizard/Connors stories though

Peter Parker, a.k.a Spider-Man: come on, how could you not root for the hero?
Mary Jane Watson: I've always had a thing for redheads ;)
Doctor Octopus: Best Villian Spidey has ever had, IMHO.
J. Jonah Jameson: I wish the current books used him more, the ol' skinflint is a great character, especially in the Stan Lee/Steve Ditko days.
Sandman: Just because his powers are cool.

Oh, and I know I'm going to anger some people, but both Carnage and Black Cat are incredibly overrated. Carnage because he's what Venom should've been all along, and Black Cat because, now matter how sexy an artist can make her, she's still nothing more than a Catwoman rip-off.

Hmm....

1. Harry Osborn. He's one of the few characters I've loved in every universe, including 616, Ultimate, Marvel Age, Movieverse, cartoonverse, etc. Maybe he brings out something maternal in me but I just want to hug him until he bursts.
2. The Hobgoblin. Any incarnation. Kingsley Hobgoblin was nicely creepy/evil, Leeds was all 'MUST DESTROY SPIDER-MAN FOR SOME REASON' and Macendale was all 'I suck, but I keep trying anyway'
3. Spider-Man.
