Ron I loved all the stuff you’ve put out over the past five years but with the exception of an incredible run on Green Lantern and a Darkness/Superman project your voice has been absent from the superhero comic genre. I’ve missed your take Superman, Batman, Silver Surfer and all the rest. I was wondering if your were planning on returning to capes and spandex anytime soon or will you keep your focus on breathtaking projects form companies other than the big two?

I did super-heroes almost exclusively for the first 10 years of my career, so I've been stretching different muscles lately. I'd much rather write a variety of material than be married to any one genre. In the last few months I've worked on crime/supernatural (Witchblade), historical adventure (Samurai), sword & sorcery (Red Sonja) and super-hero (Cyber Force).
I still have great affection for super-heroes. That's one of the reasons I picked Cyber Force when Top Cow asked me what else I wanted to do for them. And I'll be doing something for DC in 2006, but it won't be announced for a while yet. I'm a happy camper as long as I can keep a diversity of projects on my plate ... including super-heroes.

I'm enjoying Samurai, BTW.

Wow. Didn't realize you did the Darkness/Superman. I had no experience with Darkness, but that was a fantastic comic, and the art totally blew me away! Great job. Who was the artist by the way?

My apologies for not responding sooner. Glad to hear that there is more to come.

The artist on Darkness/Superman is Tyler Kirkham.
He's currently working on VICE for Top Cow.
