Toon Zone's WORLD'S FINEST site has posted three reviews of TBvD: one with spoilers, one without, and one DVD review. And all three are VERY positive.

I'M stoked.

The audience loses because we all know a Bruce Timm/Kevin Conroy version of this would have rocked even harder.

Hey, nobody was stopping 'em. They chose to make Mystery of the Batwoman instead.

I second this. Not paying to watch the terrible new Bat cartoon!

Spoiled spoiled people. The Batman is not on the same level as B:TAS but it's a good show for it's target audience. You were all nine once, let your minds go back to that time and watch the show once to enjoy it for what it is... a badass toy comercial :D

I agree. My 9 year old daughter loves it. Not as much as B:TAS of course, but still. When I watch it with her, I always seem to enjoy it. The physicality of Batman is the biggest draw for me. No, it isn't B:TAS but it is a pretty cool Batman toon. It isn't any worse than the current Bat comics out there at the moment. No, that isn't saying much I guess, but it is still an enjoyable 20 minutes of entertainment.

Well they were going to do the Nocturne storyline for the BTAS but Fox said no way.

I'm torn. On one hand, I hate all things The Batman on principle. On the other hand, Dracula!

Just curious. What are your principles for hating it?

And you got the guy who played Satan from Constantine voicing him. That is drawing me a little, just a little.

Peter Stormare? (or however you spell it) That's just icing on the cake!

The question is, will there be a director's cut that ends like the first graphic novel?

The Batman ain't B:TAS, but for what it is, it's fairly decent. Some of the villains work for me(I especially like the new Mr. Freeze look, as well as the classic Catwoman), while others don't(making Kirk Langstrom a standard issue mad scientist was a mistake, as was making Clayface a former friend of Bruce Wayne's. Not only did it seem too forced, but it ruled out bringing Two-Face into the show).

My only real grouse regarding The Batman has been the lack of classic supporting cast members other than Alfred. Detective Yin is cool(and I hope they keep her around), but her partnership with Batman reminded me more of Angela/Goliath, minus the romantic potential. However, things are changing for the better, with the addition of Commissioner Gordon, with Barbara in tow. If they can throw in Leslie Thompkins(not the War Games child killer, please) and maybe Harvey Bullock or Renee Montoya, we may have something.

Just don't make Batgirl too much like Jade in the Jackie Chan cartoons, please!

I think there's been some really good episodes (mostly season 2) and some really by-the-numbers episodes, and I guess I'm not wild about bringing in Batgirl this early in Batman's career. One of the main problems is that it throws in a fight scene every 4 minutes, so never has achieves much in the way of pacing or suspense. Maybe the longer format will allow for that.

Even though I hate The Batman I'm going to watch movie when it airs on Cartoon Network this Saturday. A rather it for free then waste money on it.

I watched this last night and liked it a lot. I haven't seen too awful much of The Batman cartoon (comes on waaay too early for me), but it seems like they stepped up the animation quite a bit on this, and it's waaay bloodier than anyting I've ever seen on a saturday morning cartoon. It's no Mask Of THe Phantasm, but I recommend checking it out.
