I only have vol. 1 on dvd so I can't really comment on the rest of the volumes but the music from the part two of the original Clayface episodes in vol. 1.

I absolutely LOVE the villain theme songs. I love how each villain has their individual creepy, eerie tune. And as you mentioned, Clayface has such a sad sounding one. Makes you really feel for the character. Two-Face has a really good one too; dark and sinister sounding. I really wish music for the series would be released on CD.

I've gotta go with Joker's theme. It totally defined him. You can't beat it.

But I also like Batman's own theme. The one that sort of evolved from the Danny Elfman one. It began with the same pattern but had some different notes. The one used during the action scenes.

This may be a bit of a cheat, but I loved the closing music from "Epilogue" on JLU. It was a guitar remix of the BTAS theme, which itself was a takeoff of the incredible Elfman theme from Batman 89. It sounded cool as hell, and it wrapped up 16 years of Bat-themes in about 10 notes.

Mad Hatter's theme was brilliant...very errie and ethreal. And of course, Batman's own theme which is in my opinion better than the movie theme is simply amazing!

I've recently bought seasons 1-3 and my kids and I have been watching a few episodes a week for the past 3 months. Slightly off topic, but it's really neat being able to share these outstanding stories with the next generation. My kids (7 yr old and a 4 yr old) are DC junkies, FYI. ;)

Anyway, back on topic. We were watching "A Bullet for Bullock" yesterday (one of my favorites) and it had this jazz version of the main theme, which was really cool and fun.

The theme from Mask of the Phantasm (Damn, I hope I still have that on vhs) was freakin awesome. Beats Clayface but Clayface is my favorite villain theme.

Joker's was so light and cheery that hides the nature of the character so beautifully.
