ok, so im at borders yesterday just checking out some of their graphic novels and such and I see a book called Ultimate Galactus: Ultimate Nightmare. The book was freakin amazing as it featured some of the x-men and some of the ultimates.
Does anyone know of this series as I dont know where to look for the rest of the story. The novel covered comics #1-5. If anyone does know about this comic, I would appreciate it if you could fill me in a bit on the story after comic #5. thx

It's a series of three five-issue mini-series. The next one is ULTIMATE SECRET, which isn't finished, yet (#3 comes out this week). After that will be ULTIMATE EXTINCTION.

Sweet man thanks for the help! I have another question though, Im just starting to get back into comics again and I was wondering how you gouys keep up with all this stuff. How do you know when comics are coming out and what series they are in and stuff.
I check marvel.com regularly but I find that they don't really help me keep up with things. Can someone tell of some good websites and stuff that will keep me up to date on comics. Thanks alot!

The two sites I frequent, besides here of course:
You can view shipping lists at http://www.diamondcomics.com. Some people also pick up Diamond's PREVIEWS books that tell of comics coming out 3 months before they do.
http://www.dccomics.com is also pretty reliable if you want to see what's shipping on what week from DC up to three months from now.

I would assume that they will put out issue 3 to conclude the miniseries before the put out the trade, but given how quickly the Nightmare trade came out, I'm not so sure.
PS: Did anyone notice how the trade of Nightmare GAVE AWAY THE ENDING ON THE COVER?????
Notice the blurb about Galactus on the cover? Nothing like telegraphing the ending before they even read the damn book!

Some time in December. It's in this (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=5928) batch of Marvel solicitations.
CBR's main page (http://www.comicbookresources.com/) is usually a pretty good source for that kind of thing. Some people also like Newsarama (http://www.newsarama.com/) or The Pulse (http://www.comicon.com/pulse).

I don't find Marvel.com all that helpful.
But the guys here are especially helpful to put things in context, into sequence and debate plot points quite thoroughly.
Somebody here will be monitoring all the other boards or site and whenever something breaks or quakes, we usually hear about it here in very short order.
Is this helpful to you?
