Hi! I hope I am not breaking any rules here, but I figured those of you in the Chicago area who want to have a good time, help in a good cause, and possibly meet little ol me might be interested in hearing about a benefit concert and auction I will be at this next weekend.
My fiancee's brother's wife has recently been diagnosed with leukemia. There will be a benefit (concert and auction) to help raise money to cover medical costs and other related expenses. A few bands and a local club outside Chicago are helping out with the event. I plan to have some art to auction off there.
"Jammin for Shannon" will be held on Friday September 30th starting around 7PM at the club STAGE 83, which is in Lemont off Route 83. Shannon and her friends will have handmade jewelry there, and there will be raffle prizes and a silent auction. Five bands, including 10 Cents Short, Handsome Outfit, FFFFFFFFF, Mesa Guru, and Colored by Numbers will be playing for the crowd. Admission is only $10, which includes a raffle ticket.
