I 'm sorry but if anyone says that Young Avengers are better than Youngblood I will have to disagree with much bravado. I wish Marvel would get their heads out of the sand,Youngblood would rock in the Marvel universe while Young Avengers will be cancelled before 2007.

So, is there any reason why you decided to start a new thread to post the same biased complaint once again? Or are you just flame-baiting and being trollish? :)

Youngblood IS better than Young Avengers.
That is, once you've shoved crack rocks into your eyes.

Well, you've gotta hand it to him, he's a superfan.
Although, why Marvel would bother with a Rob Liefeld creation that is pretty much an industry joke at tis point is beyond me.
I would, however, like to see mr bravado put some money on the "impending" cancellation of Young Avengers. $50 sound good? $100?

One thing I have to say about Youngblood: Its first issue was the highest selling single comic ever.
That said, Youngblood was every bit the stereotypical 90s comic. Young Avengers, on the other hand, is fairly intelligent and original. Youngblood may be the most successful comic out there, but it also helped contribute to all the hard times comics have fallen into as of late.
Sales numbers does not a quality comic make.

Yessir, I'm certain that a smart young buck like yourself would be able to run Marvel with nary a mistake. Quesada should hand his office over to you right this instant, and a pox on all the naysayers! Superboy Sr is here, and his policies are going to revolutionize the comics industry!

Even if Marvel did agree to publish Youngblood, you'd never see an issue come out.

Yeah, he posted this once before. It got locked and deleted, because he refused to ever come back and explain why he felt that way. So yeah, definate case of Deja Vu at work here. :p

Nope, sorry. I still like Young Avengers better. gurble blarg riff gurble. Shneep!

It also means it would have to survive a shocking 17 more issues! Cable and Deadpool has lasted longer, as has Spider-Girl and neither sells anywhere near as well as Young Avengers. So, I'll take a slice of this bet if he's up for it!

Actually, I was bored spent most of my summer with a knee injury but I don't remember comparing Youngblood & Young Avengers at all. So I hope nobody was having too much of a coniption. I would love to see a great writer like Alan Moore or Warren Ellis to write a Youngblood epic with Shaft, Badrock, and Suprema without them trying to kill everyone(ie Bloodsport it freaked me ).
For some unexplainable reason I happen to like Youngblood & Supreme, which is the equivalent of a straight man admitting he likes Judy Garland & Barbra Streisand . LOL
By the way the EAGLES rock

You got proof of this, because in all honesty, I HIGHLY doubt it.

I think at the time it was. It was then eclipsed by WildC.A.T.S. which was then eclipsed by Spawn.
Though, those might just be self-publishing records.
I'm fairly sure that Jim Lee's X-Men #1 still holds the record for the highest selling comic ever.

Actually, Young Blood #1 sold more copies than any other comic before that. It's record was broken a month later by Jim Lee's Wildcats #1, and Wildcats record was broken a week later by Spawn #1.
Keep in mind, though, there was a lot of hype surrounding Young Blood #1 because it was the first comic ever published by Image. People thought Image would be the first real challenge to DC and Marvel and many people were interested to see what Image would be producing.

But, I always read that comics used to sell way more copies back in the 40s/50s because there was not as much competition then. I dont know if actual sales figures exist, but this is something I have seen cited several times.

On average, yes. But keep in mind that in the first year Image's lowest selling book (Jim Valentino's Shadowhawk) still sold over 750,000 copies monthly.
These were the top selling books, however, not the average. And this only lasted for a year or two. By 94 sales were way down from what they did before.

Actually, back in the 40's, 50's, and 60's comic normally sold in the 400k to 700k range. It wasn't until the 90's speculator boom (which I think can be attributed to Wizard's price guide making people think their comics would be worth something someday) that books sold in the millions.

Yeah. A Pox on Wizard for causing the implosion of the comic industry.
