A Saudi Official in todays USA Today told that the situation in Iraq is at its apex. The country he warns is disintagrating into choas and that the ethnic groups are splitering the country.

The Shiites have worked up a constitution but its so topsy turvy it guarentees power in select provinces of Iraq. Some of Iraq won't be as well represented by it and the Sunni Muslims have vowed to not vote at all for it and or anything regardin this.

This had lead to more than just Iraq breakin apart. The Sunni Muslims who are angry are getting support from the Iran government. Its believed that if it comes down to it Iran could get involved in this conflict for them.

Turkey has also vowed that the Kurds to the North who want indiependance will get thier support as well. That they will odds are fight in Iraq.

The official blames the United States for getting involved and de-stabilizing the country. And perhaps setting the region back.

The only surprise is that Turkey would support Kurdish independence. They must be assuming that their Kurds would just move to a new Kurdistan, instead of trying to secede from Turkey with the land they live on.

Turkey wants done with its own Kurds, and wants in to the EU. Kurdish independence might lead to repatriation. In any case, it's got to be pretty clear by now to the Turks that they won't get to invade Kurdistan (or whatever it's called) now.

No clue...but its said Iran and Turkey could come into play in this. That by trying to force a Democracy that the entire country could splinter into sections. Not that this shocks me...just hearin that Iran and Turkey would get drawn into this is what shocked me.

Id question any source who thinks the turks will work with the kurds.
Or anyone who says iran, already having the entire worlds eye on them for a nuclear program (ENTIRE world is important, as it means more then just america) would invade a country that now has UN members in it.
