Question regarding Ultimate Vision...

Who exactly is Ultimate Vision?

The dissected robot who was found in Ultimate Nightmare, or one of the two androids that Hank Pym is currently working on in the Ultimates?

The Nightmare robot looked more like Vision than Silver Surfer. Have we even seen Silver Surfer yet?


Also...damn I'm hyped for the arrival of Ultimate Galactus. :D

The first Ultimate Vision is the alien robot that appears in Ultimate Nightmare. Hank Pym's robot is Ultimate Vision II. I don't think any relationship between the the Ultimate Visions has been established yet, other than the fact that Pym probably named Ultimate Vision II after Ultimate Vision I. Maybe Pym based some of Ultimate Vision II off of Ultimate Vision I (which is possible, since the remains of Vision I are in SHIELD custody).

I don't think Ultimate Silver Surfer's made an appearance yet.

Edit: I can't remember if the the original Marvel Universe's original Vision was an alien. Gotta go check that now.

Edit 2: Yeah, the Golden Age Vision (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vision_%28Golden_Age%29) was apparently a visitor from another dimension. :)

I don't think there is much doubt that Roy Thomas was using the golden age Vision hero as a pattern for the appearance of the silver age vision android back in Avengers #57-58 when he resisted Ultron the first time.

I foresee a terrible conflict between Ultron and Vision II coming up in the Ultimates sometime in the future... if only because we know the 616 history of the characters.

Also, I don't believe the Silver Surfer has shown up in Ultimates universe yet... but I have hope that he will defect from Galactus as in 616 OR that he will be Galactus, and have a change or heart... split in two, or something that will mirror the 616 split as well....

Given what we've seen in previous what what Ultimate Galactus is---I REALLY don't think he'll have Heralds, or that we'll see the Silver Surfer, and if we do, he won't be connected at all like he was in the original MU.
Indeed, Galactus really isn't even a he, it's a they.

Apparently, the Ultimate Vision II will be a female... even if it is a robot. Like Maduira (sp?) designed it as a female and there'll be a back up story featuring Vision in several Ultimate Issues starting December...

Cant shake the feeling that female robots are stupid.

I mean, WHY have robo-boobs? What is the purpose for a secondary sexual trait made of metal? The male form (assuming there's no robowang) has no unnecessary appendages, and robots really don't have a gender, so girl robots have always struck me as so silly.

Plus she was built by Hank Pym. We've seen what a sex fiend he is. Why wouldn't he make one of his robots a female. And the name 'Vision' is much more fitting, when it comes to a hot to trot female bot. :)

No connection between the two visions at this time im guessing the reason for the ultimate vision backup stories are to explain it or lead up to the ultimate vision mini series that is rumoured. silver surfer will indeed show up at some point during the galactus trilogy warren ellis made some cryptic comments though about surfer's gender/species though.

Well, there is an established connection between the two. Hank Pym was one of the people assigned to examine the Vision from Ultimate Nightmare. And the Ultimate Vision miniseries isn't rumored, it was confirmed by Marvel at the same time as the backup stories were announced for this year. :)

Ultimate Secret #1 and 2 are already out, with #3 happening this week, and #4 coming out next month. I'd say a november release for the softcover.

Your point is well taken...however, remember we are dealing with pre-conceived notions here... and the audience IS primarily drooling fan-boys with raging hormones. Ergo.... breasts a plenty!

Ex: Wasp, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Thunderella, Scarlet Witch, Rogue, SPIDER-WOMAN...etc.... :eek:
