Majestic #8 was 151 on the Diamond's sales chart with about 12.800 estimated sales. I'll try to find some other figures.

Doesn't look too good, but it's still well ahead of Intimates in sales.. *curses on Intimates' cancellation again*

In other words: Not Good
Depends, The cutoff for WildStorm cancellations seems to be the 11-12000 range depending on TPB sales.

Yeah, but it's shedding readers like crazy. And Intimates never even got the TPB chance.

It's actually not that bad. A 25% drop from 1-2 is perfectly normal, and is in fact higher quite often. I'd expect it the sales to level out at around 12-13k.

Indeed, but it usually levels out near issue 5 or so. Issues 6, 7 and 8 still lose about a 6-8% each time.

And a 50% drop from #1 to #7 ain't healthy. Wasn't the basic concept of Majestic to have a Superman-type character around in case the lawsuit over Superman rights went badly? Since that isn't a concern anymore, Majestic doesn't really serve a purpose from the standpoint of the company.

Maybe thats the reason for the recent crossover, but the character predates DC even owning Wildstorm.

Man, whatever happened to Wildstorm's line of comics. DC really shot themselves in the foot there. Wildcats and the Authority could have really anchored a successfull line of mature superhero comics that would have captured a corner of the market; Ultimates numbers even.

Maybe they felt it irrelevant and redundant, so long as they are making the mainstream DCU rusty sewer grate iron age??

Nah, I think they were scared of the content and didn't know how to market it right at the time.
