Any word yet on the sequel to sea guy? I know he has that all star superman thing going on, but i wish morrison would come back to this world. While the first seaguy series works as a complete story, I felt that at the end seaguy's behavior seemed to indicate that the brainwashing had not worked on him this last time (analyze those last few pages a few times and the first few pages of the first issue and you will see what I mean). Anyway it would be great to see a return to this amazing world (I am tired of people saying this was wierd for wierds sake by the way, if you read it over and over you will begin to see it is friggin brilliant and methodically constructed). Anybody heard anything?

Not only does he have All-Star Superman; he's doing Seven Soldiers, too. Just give him some time.

I loved Sea Guy! The only confusion I had was in the secound issue where it seemed to "jump" a page near Atlantis. Otherwise fucking great! Grant Morrison and Cameron Stewart both want to do more, just need DC to say ok!

That's pretty much what it comes down to; with Stewart and Morrison both saying that they're interested in doing a sequel (Stewart posted here claiming that Morrison already has at least a partial script for a sequel), the ball is really in DC's court. And I don't really see them making a move on it unless they belive that there's a market for the book out there, so it might be awhile.

That said, I've written a couple of letters to DC editors begging for a follow up mini-series--can't hurt, might help.

The biggest defecit to this is alot of people going WTF? to the series in general. Which sucks it was a great super hero book. And more would rock. Hell Morrison stated he and Cameron Stewart wanted to do at least a trilogy of these. Ahh more Seaguy, we could maybe get back his TRUE sidekick!

I thought the fact the brain-washing didn't work on Sea-guy (though wether this was a conscious or unconscious thing for him I'm not sure) was the reason it was a complete story.
It was a pretty definitive statement - I mean we already know what comes next - Mickey Eye falls apart because it can't control every single little detail.

While I'd be intrested to read some more, I think the concepts of the series were pretty much covered in those 3 issues.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was saying in another thread. It's as though it's set up for a sequel, but you don't really need one, everything we need to know is right there in the last couple of pages. Finishing it there is smart and quirky.

That's not to say more would be bad, it's just not necessary. Then again I'm sure Grant would be preparing to cover all new themes and issues, and we'd have new things to scratch our noodles over.
