The last few times I've tried to access this brilliant resource, it's come back "Page not found." Anybody know why? Did Mike lose interest and/or the funds to keep his site open? Or, as I hope is *not* the case, did DC shut him down?

I summon the MIA webpage!

The site is up and running as always....

Here's the link: http://www.dcindexes.com/

I suspect that you bookmarked a page that got moved.

i second that emotion. as i noted not too long ago in a pm to cei-u, the site is almost certainly the first comics-related one i ever bookmarked, when my addlepated decision to go for the entire run of 80-page giants (finally completed just last night, the post office & paypal willing, thanks to an ebay auction that netted me our army at war 229) led me to its existence via a google search. i still refer to it constantly -- i've been known to spend hours on the "time machine" function alone.

Welcome to CBR, Mike!

I remember running into you at San Diego this year, when I noticed that you were wearing a T-shirt advertising your excellent website.

Thank you, Mike! What a website. It's obviously the traditional labor of love. The Time Machine is a great nostalgia-inducer. (It also reminds me of how erratic distribution was back then (the Silver Age when I see a cover for the first time ever.)

Continued luck completing your collection.

The most fun I had with the time machine was reconstructing my first few years of DC purchases (starting in 1971). It made for an interesting map, seeing which titles I tried and gave up on, and which were consistent favorites. I'd forgotten how routinely I was buying Superboy during the Boltinoff/Robbins/Brown era!

I've posted said map right here, if anyone's interested. (http://stoplight.blogspot.com)

Me too. Except I started in 1973 with such gems as The Brave and the Bold 106 and Superboy 199. On sale at the same time thanks to dear old T&P, the U. K. distributors of DC

Yeah, I did the same thing only starting with Dec 1975 and going forward a couple of years.
