" Byrned Again " sounds a tad painful.

We may need some ointment.

Heh, that's weird. The thread is full of people going "Isn't it nice to be a little community" and suddenly out of nowhere Byrne posts a thread like that. :p

Wow, the wikipedia debacle and now this. He must want to fight on multiple fronts.

I'm so glad to see this being mentioned, as it gives me a weak excuse to post this link (http://fanboyrampage.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_fanboyrampage_archive.html#112688447580 792653). :D

Scroll up to the September 19th entry for more Byrne hilarity (not the Wilkepedia article)!

If you want, you can go to the top and talk to Mr. Wales (or Jimbo, as we affectionately call him) and deal with it that way. I believe Harlan Ellison did much the same thing, and I don't think anything really came of it.

When someone says you should be more reasonable, then uses Harlan freaking Ellison as an example, you should probably take a few minutes to reflect on your behavior.

that a good point...

it's funny because the original Wiki entry before Byrne edited it was pretty fair:
http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=John_Byrne&oldid=23225741

compared to Byrne's edit:

He seems like he could really use some kind of empathy implant.

"Won't Get Byrned Again" sounds like a really good song parody.

"Short term, he oughtta settle for getting his head out of his ass."

It's so rare to find opportunities to quote Andy Sipowicz in everyday life. :)

It's my understanding that donkeys show their young Byrne's comments as instrumental in how not to be an ass...

So Byrne in his wisdom came in and edited the entire article out. His entire history because it wasn't done by him ? He accuses Shooter of micromanaging but damn it. Some obvious fans spent hours on that and he tries wipin the whole deal out.

And he's pissed over it ? My god...I knew Byrne had said and did some wild stuff. But jesus christ...this tops it.

Byrne thinks his entire life is a lie? That's gotta be a weird existence.

No just the parts he didn't write and can claim thier the gospel truth. Funniest quote from Shooter in a Wizard article:

" You have guys like John Byrne who in the early 80's talked about walking thru the Gates of Hell with me in Bullpin notes. Now I'm a huge enemy."

Even if he retcons his old life out of the normal universe, it'll still exist in Hypertime.

I'm getting this vision of Byrne, bleeding profusely from the nose and sniffing incessantly. His hand is trembling violently as he begins to type on the keyboard.

I never said Christopher Reeve wasn't a hero. Is English your second language? What I SAID was he wasn't a real super hero. Please cease the libelous paraphrasing.

Then he leans back in his chair and takes a deep, calm breath. "Yeah, baby...that's the stuff."
