View Full Version : House of M -- What Order to Read the Titles in One Sitting?

I've been collecting all the House of M comics with the premeditated decision NOT to read any of them until I have them all. The good in this is that one gets to read the whole saga at once. The bad news is that if you read a comic "out of order" a big surprise may be blown before you read the "earlier" issues. With these crossover comics, this can be a problem, to figure out what order one should read the comics. That said ... my question:
In what order should all the House of M related books be read? First to last, taking into accout the possible need to jump from title to title. Or is this question still premature?
Thanks.

Start with HoM #1 and 2. The rest of the miniseries' can be read in any order you choose, but I think it becomes increasingly clear from #3 onwards, that the actual HoM miniseries takes place after all the other minis.

The Pulse Issue (not special) should be read right after issue 5 I belive.
The Pulse Newspaper should be read after Issue 2.

How many issues of The Pulse have seen print? Is it an ongoing series, or just a one-shot?
I've avoided Mutopia completely, as well as the Hulk HoM, and wish I had avoided Iron Man HOM... but FF HoM was great! and it stood alone, not affecting the main HOM storyline  yet...

The Pulse is on issue 11 right now, it's ongoing, and usually features Jessica Jones, Ben Urich, Luke Cage and Kat Farrell. It's one of my top 5 comics right now (with Runaways, Young Avengers, Legion and Invincible)

I have only picked up issue #10, cause it dealt with Hawkeye so much, and I don't recall seeing the series at all at my local comic shop prior to this. So, I thought it might have been a one-issue stunt that Marvel was pulling, implying that it had been an ongoing publication (kind of the reverse of the Sentry crap...)

All of the tie-ins "stand alone," so really, the idea of trying to read every book with "House of M" on the cover "in sequence" is rather beside the point.
Read 1-8 straight through, and the others at your leisure.
