View Full Version : Which Grant Morisson TPB should i get on Dec?

Come december, there will be 3 TpBS of GM that will be released. Now my money is kinda short since i also have to get the other IC trades (not to mention its buying gifts time), so i think ill be only be able to get 1 GM trade at that time.. which should i go first?

I can't recommend WE3 highly enough. :)

I loved both We3 and Seaguy, and have not yet read Vimanarama. Not knowing anything about your personal tastes, I think We3 is the safest one I can recommend. Seaguy is a lot more experimental, and I would recommend it for later if you get a chance.

Another vote for WE3.

I loved SEAGUY as well, but (at least on these boards) it got more mixed reviews than did WE3, which was loved by most of the people who took the time to post about it.

And in the interest of fairness, I should probably state that I haven't read Vimanarama.

Bought them all...but loved WE3 the best.

The other two kinda lost me near the end.

I have to go with Vinmanarama. Although I felt it was too short-- a good three or four more issues story to be told there, in my opinion, and the superhero stuff is the least interesting bit-- this is the story that connected with me the most. But, really, you can't go wrong with any of the three. Buy all three for yourself, then tell your disappointed loved ones that you knew that you knew deep down that their true happiness comes from your true happiness. That is the spirit of the season!

IMO Seaguy is the weakest. Phillip Bonds art in Vina is superb (one of my favourite artists), but good as it is WE3 is one of the best series in the last couple of years. Buy it! NOW!

I voted for We3. Seaguy was good too. Didn't read Vinetc.

Confused about the Dec release part though. There are already trades out for We3 and Seaguy. That's how I picked them up, rather than through individual issues.

DC is re-releasing the trades with advertising to highlight Seaguy.

I am one of the four people oN earth who thinks We3 is very overrated. I loved Vimanarama tho. Seaguy was kinda "meh"

Get all three. Three is the holy number. Three...three...three...

We3 was the best of the three in my opinion (but a tad sad)
Vimanarama was 2nd best (and much more upbeat)
Seaguy I really liked but most people went "huh?"

I could understand that if you read about it on any comic book forums before reading it, as just about everyone seems to rave about it. I read it knowing only that I'm a morrison fanboy (I admit it...), and loved every page of it.

I voted for WE3.
Liked Seaguy for a few different reasons, but I don't think it can compete with the simple brilliance of WE3.

Still haven't read Vimanarama, waiting for trade...

This is going to sound crazy, especially from me, but buy the issues! At cover price the 9 issues cost 9.00 less than the the 3 trades.

with all the response i got here, i tried to look for we3 from other bookstores away from the usual comic shops and surprise i actually found it! and now we3 is here beside me. i guess that takes care of that~!

I foun We3 insaenly over rated.

it was alright, with some nice art, but there was no substance what so ever.

Just animals fighting humans for three issues, and a wishy-washy ending.

Sea-Guy was fun, had some substance to it, and you could dig deeper into hte metaphors if you want to.
a great afternoons read I thought.
