Avast mateys! I've not seen a'much of this scallywag show The Batman. But from what me eyes have shown, the scurvy character designs seem to be in the Mignola fashion, with ye crooky nostils and scraggy face lines.

'Ave I just had too much grog or does this seem to be the case to you fellow hellboarders?

We already know that like bildge rats, "Elvis be everywhere", but now it seems that Master Mignola is too. Arrrgh mates!

if im not mistaken but i read some where that the character designs were by Jeff Matsuda who also designed the Jackie Chan Adventures toon for WB.i know that Mignola did some designs for Mr.Freeze for 90's Batman Adventures-gonna see if i can scan that page from the book-unless some one else beats me to it.... :)

yeah, from what I've heard Matsuda was the art lead on that show, or at least...he worked on it in some art capacity and the animation was based on his style.

Matsuda's one of the lead producers and art director for the show. I read an interview with Bruce Timm in which Timm discussed Matsuda and his work briefly--Matsuda worked for Timm on the previous Batman I believe (& maybe Justice League?).

I've never seen anything linking the show to Mignola or acknowledging any sort of influence.

Oh yeah, I can see the similarity between the Jackie Chan and The Batman designs.

Isn't it Matsuda who saved Liz Sherman from being killed off?

That was Glen Murakami (Teen Titans). And he was supposed to do a short comic story for that.

From what I remember reading (can't remember where), Mike did design for Batman Beyond.

Go to
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0147746/fullcredits
and Mike's way at the bottom. Click on his name and it does say he did design work on the original series as well.
Oh yes, ARRRRRRRR!
