Yo ho
Yo ho
A pirate's life for me
We pillage and plunder and rifle and loot
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!

Yo ho
Yo ho
A pirate's life for me
We extort, we pilfer, we filch and we sack
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho
Maraud and embezzle and even hijack
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!

Yo ho
Yo ho
A pirate's life for me
We kindle and char, inflame and ignite
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho
We burn up the city, we're really a fright
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!
We're beggars and blighters and ne'er-do-well cads
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho
Aye, but we are loved by our mommies and dads
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho!

One ... More ... Time !!!

ARRR, Ye dogs are do'n a fine part o' show'n off yer pirate-ness.

an' now a song!
An' here to close tha' poirity day, a-fore we goes below t' our berths ta rock gently on tha waves and pretty our 'eads wiv dreams o' treasure, a Canadian song of privateerin', most Canadian in every way, bein' about a guvmint-(under)funded operation ta go south in a leaky skiff after great Yankee ships in a tale wot naturally ends wiv us gettin' our sterns handed to us, as it were:

http://www.chivalry.com/cantaria/lyrics/barretts-privateers.html

It kin be heard sung in many a maratoime pub, an' even drinkin' establishments on further shores where's them from 'home as knows tha' words. Good Skinny Mike prolly knows it, or 'e's a poor excuse fer a 'Aligonian.

Know;s it me dear..i have it on 6 different cd's..I've even been to the Stan Rogers folk festival in canso, NS...this ditty must be sung totally a cappella, we even use it in numerous beer commercials down here, as well as our come to Npva Scotia song..it's an unofficial theme song for way too many things down here, but that's ok, cause it's a very cool song...
