My wife bought me a new sketchbook and so I was doodling in it and one of the pages evolved into a comic book cover looking thing. So's I painted it up some for fun.

Here's another page from the same sketch book... did this yesterday while doodling during some downtime. Now I'll have to at least do a page two in order to find out what happens!

To be continued?

This is the original scan. No pencil work was left because I inked everything in and erased the pencils before I scanned it. This is on a 4x6 page so it's fairly smallish to begin with. I worked with it much bigger in Photoshop than the real life sketch.http://img419.imageshack.us/img419/7906/lobstervsdok1scan7wx.jpg

Oh why thanks for the comments. If I'd known you wanted to see the b&w I woulda posted those before. ADamUnRama, if you can wait until I finish the second page, I'll send you both. Just realize they're quite small pages.
Wanted to get to it this weekend for the second page but unfortunately Real Life is forcing me to head out of town for a while. Hopefully I'll be settled back in after the 23rd.
So here's the original b&w of the "cover"

This is some pencil sketching. Done after being inspired by a mix of David Peterson's soft and textured illustrations in Mouse Guard and the faerie imagery in Pan's Labyrinth. I usually do pen and ink work and wanted to just play with the pencil for a while and this came out...

This Thread receives the official Stygian seal of approval! :p Great stuff and thanks for sharing your artwork.
Thanks GeekSpeak folks for coming up with that Stygian seal of approval. I'm going to be using that from now on. :D I suppose I now owe you guys a fruit basket or something nice, right?

Thanks for the seal of approval. Is this the first thread to be honored with it? :D
I'll try to work on the next page of the Lobster story soon. If I do one page a year for 32 pages, I'll have a whole comic a couple of years after I'm retired!
