View Full Version : Why is there no Ultimate Marvel Forum thing?

Seriously, the ultimate books generate pretty impressive sales figures and there's a whole bunch of people here who would appreciate it. I was just wondering what it is that prevents such an illustrious universe from earning it's place in the phantasmagoric halls of the CBR community? Just curious.

I dont know... I guess people would say that you can talk about the individual Ultimate titles in the character's respective forums (Spidey, X-Men, Avengers, and MU in general).

Generally new forums are only created if thre is enough traffic to sustain a new forum, and will not take away too much traffic from the current forum which the topic fits.

If the admins feel there is a need for the forum, they may start it.

The Avengers Board is already the 'Avengers/Ultimates' Board.
However, show us that there is enough posting traffic to support a general 'Ultimates' Forum and we'll see what we can do.

I'll support this. I don't read much Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, or X-Men, but I read all of those Ultimates titles along with the Gah Lak Tus trilogy and whatever else I can get my hands on at work. I would prefer talking about them all interacting.

I HATE having to scroll past Ultimate threads to read the legitimate 616 threads. ;)

I don't think he means a forum for just "the Ultimates" but instead a forum that focuses on ALL the Ultimate titles.

The discussion of Ultimate books is spread throughout the various Marvel forums, so relocating it all to one place wouldn't severely impact the already existing forums. There is quite a bit of discussion concerning the Ultimate books, currently there are 313 different threads that have "Ultimate" or "Ultimates" in the title, versus the 214 different threads that justify the existence of the Hulk forum.

It might be a good idea to reloacte all Ultimate discussion to one central forum.

I would be into that, as well. Actually, I think Ultimate forums are long overdue, as the line was it its highest popularity a few years ago. I've lost a bit of interest in the Ultimate line, but there is still plenty of attention and those books have greater ability to grab newer audiences than almost any other comics.

The Moderators, as a whole, are currently discussing a reorganisation of the Forums. The details are still being ironed out but an Ultimates Forum is on the proverbial table.

No guarantees but it is being discussed.
