Anyone know what happened to this fine magazine? Are they still publishing?

According to the TwoMorrows site, the last new issue was April, 2003. Didn't it get passed on to another publisher with a different look?

It's now being published by Top Shelf, John B. cooke is still the editor. I've got three of the issues published by Top Shelf. Personally, I think that it's lost some of its focus. I preferred the VERY in-depth coverage of the earlier issues.

It currently resides with Top Shelf. It's on a brief hiatus while Jon finishes up some other projects, including the THUNDER Agents Companion, which is done and should be out in a couple of weeks, and the upcoming Swampmen book. CBA should be back before too long.
Oh, and I should mention we're working together on a Modern Masters volume featuring John Byrne, which should be out early next year.

Thanks for the info, Eric. Will that Modern Masters volume include any of the material from the aborted CBA issue featuring Byrne?

We're taking the interview that was done, editing it a bit, and doing a follow-up to update it.

Wow. Looking forward to that. Any chance of you listing who is possibly next for the Masters series. I love the Bruce Timm book. I have read it a few times already.

I'm working on four books at once at the moment. First up isn't part of the Modern Masters series, but it's a book I've wanted to do for a few years. It's called The Brave and Bold Art of Jim Aparo. Scott Beatty's writing it, and it'll be out later this year. Volume 6 of Modern Masters is on Arthur Adams and Volume 7 is the aforementioned John Byrne volume. Volume 8 is going to be a little bit different, but I'm going to keep it a surprise for now.
