I read the issue, and I'm still not sure what happened.... or didn't happen.
Can anyone else shed any light on this issue?

Basically, Jonhnny Storm stopped Pym's mutant bombs, and stark's pops was in armor but he got killed by the vision corps. tony put on the armor, the end. there. saved you $2.99. Reading in the store is a good thing.

I get the impression that most people felt the Iron Man House of M mini series was a bit of a letdown, eh? Or was it just issue #3 that disappointed?
I was intrigued by the cameos in Issue #1 and dismayed by Pym's betrayal in #2.
Does this mirror your experience?
On the other hand, Doom in The Fantastical Fearsome Four HoM mini was true to form and very well done. I really enjoyed it, and was caught offguard a couple of times by the plot twists. May I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice tight little mini series in a What If universe. I had expected a slightly different ending however, but was not surprised by the events in #3. A good summer read, I'd say.

It's not bad or anything, it's just very average and "light".
Magneto also shows up in the book in full costume to take down the Vision corps as well as Howard Stark (who was also behind the whole genetic bomb thing alongside Pym).

The first two-and-a-half issues were pretty great, but the end of iss.3 felt really rushed, mainly the appearance of Magneto for no discernable reason.
7/10

Do you think someone was told or thought it was a four part series that got jammed down into three???

Here's what sums up this mini for me.
I've been avoiding this thread because I couldn't remember reading issue 3, and didn't want any spoilers. So I was going through my to-read pile today, and could find HoM: Iron Man in it, and wondered where the hell I'd left it. Eventually I found it in the proper box, flicked through, and realised I'd read it . . .
. . . but even though it has a guest appearance from my favourite character (Magneto), I still managed to completely forget everything about it.
Heh.

I enjoyed the reference to Ultimate Iron Man.
But this series was disappointing. I felt like I was watching a poorly-scripted video game plot.
"Fly around the city and destroy all the bombs!...3...2...1...GO!"
"Boss fight: Howard Stark! Commence!"

Greg Pak knows how to write video games. The editors forgot to tell him it was a comic book...

Heh heh, that's funny.
Hey, I just remembered, he's writing that book the Imperfects, right?
Is he writing the game, too?
That might explain something.
