I rather enjoyed this issue, this is one of the very few times where I actually enjoyed the character of bizarro, although I dont see why Bizarro was bothering to race zoom at the end

Soooooo no open spoilers allowed?

Anyways, it seems to be part of another cross title crossover. I was under the impressiona that this issue would have ties to the 4 Countdown mini series in it but this works.

Just a pre warning... I always post spoilers.

A very good issue. I really enjoy Bizzaro and always have. He is such a fun character.

I don't see why the need for the cover. There wasn't a race between Bizzaro and Zoom, just at the end Zoom was challenged. And it was about as much of a tie in to Villians United as the other Superman books have been to OMAC. Just little scenes here and there.

But overall I really enjoyed the issue.

Ah but the cover grabs you , don't u think ? Makes u want to see what's inside and if that is the case , the cover has serve its purpose , misleading or not.

yeah, that was annoying.

and just a minor nitpick, but along the lines of ian churchill's solomon grundy (didn't look undead in the slightest. just a big, white-skinned brick.) didn't like benes' bizarro. making him bulkier with bushy eyebrows just wasn't ...off... enough. tweak the posture, do something to the facial structure, ahdunno.

It's on my pull list so it is kinda moot for me. (The store owner pulls it and piuts it in my box at the store).

I wanted to see Zoom in this issue damnit.

I thought this issue was rather lame, personally. The cover is completely misleading, as Professor Zoom is shows up once in the entire comic as a 1 sq. inch drawing on the last panel of the last page. Instead, we get a quick fight with an OMAC, Bizarro gets invited to the society by Cheeta, and Jimmy Olson acting like a dick. Just filler, I shouldn't have bought it. :(

I forgot about Jimmy being a dick. I wanted to kill the lil f'er.

Bizarro was entertaining, and Superman was ok in his guest-starring role. I enjoyed the issue more than any of Verheiden's run since the first.

Jimmy is a terrible writer.

To be fair, there's precedent for it. Jimmy got his own talk show in the late 90's for precisely this style of stepping-on-friends careerism. But like always, he learns a lesson in the end and everybody's happy. :)
