My friend told me that there's a superman comic or some sort of comic where a kryptonian lives in the sun for like 1000 or 3000 (I forget) years. Does anybody know which one he's talking about?

Its part of the DC 1 million storyline, and superman lives in the sun for 16,000 years

Yes, you should be able to find it like Mile High, LCS, or Ebay.

That's part of the crossover, but not the whole thing. The "One Million" story crossed over into all of the titles, so there's one for Superman, one for Adventures of Superman, one for Action Comics, etc.
Superman living in the sun is part of the overall plot, so it's mentioned various times throughout the crossover. But the issue where he actually appears, unless I'm mistaken, is DC One Million #2.
Of course, you could just pick up the trade paperback for an extremely cheap price here (http://half.ebay.com/cat/buy/prod.cgi?cpid=1128257&pr=768306) or a little more on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1401203205/qid=1126376434/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/002-1050416-6972026?v=glance&s=books).

I would point out at this stage that the downloading of copyrighted material, including comics, is definitely illegal and Comic Book Resources will not allow any links to be posted to places where such things can be downloaded.
Please remember that the comic book business is still somewhat struggling to turn a profit, comic book stores are often in similar financial trouble* ... every comic that you decide to download instead of buy does hurt the industry.
(*) Unlike a certain other industry which makes a small fortune each and every year and is actively going after illegal downloaders.

Yeah sorry, we should have thought of that.

Thanks for catching this post, Matt. I've mentioned in the past here that that sort of downloading is unlawful and I would not support seeing posts that have such links in this forum.
I don't have much sympathy for movie pirates...

I don't understand the concept of downloading comics. Sure you get the story, but it just ain't the same. I got that "40 years of Spiderman" CD set, and PDF's don't have the same feeling! Not to mention trying to get it the right size to read without having to scroll too much over a page.
So...Why did Supes live in the sun for a couple thousand years?
