i really started to turn against this channel when they was "rumored to have black listed some of my favorite artists.for me it went down hill around the late summer of 1999 or early 2000.

I'm sorry, I just can't work up any hate for BET.

You see, I'd have to actually watch it in order to have anything to complain about.

The worst part of BET was when Cobra-La was going to use it to set off all the spores they let off into space. Fortunately Sgt. Slaughter and the Roughnecks were able to stop them.

I don't get why BET is so bad. Viacom owns both BET and MTV, but look at the production standards on both networks. BET is backward compared to MTV. BET had a 'Real World' type show set in a historically black college. Great reality concept, but the execution was horrible with bad sounds, storylines, etc. The best thing about BET is Comicview. Most of the comics are bad and repetitive but it is comforting to know that old sex joke is still playing somewhere.

Well, now that Mr. Hudlin is President of BET maybe things will change. I know he has the best of intentions and is a smart cat. Give him a chance.

I would only ever watch BET because of Free on 106 & Park. But now I cant watch it any more as I'm not in the U.S. now. I had read that they got rid of Big Tigger on Rap City is that true and if so, why?

"Hello, I'm watching Black Entertainment Television, and I don't see anyone black, and I'm not being entertained."

"Yes, we get that all the time..."

"Hello, I'm watching Black Entertainment Television, and I don't see anyone black, and I'm not being entertained."

"Yes, we get that all the time..."Hence why I've been calling it Television since like 2000.
College Hill and most of the other rips are pure pandering, like the BET Awards.

Yea; Y do they have infomercials on Sunday.....damn shame...Its cool they got that gospel thing but keep it in the morn. Put some reruns of Martin, Roc, Good Times or whateva on wit a news program every so often on sunday.

The rest of the week take time though.....Have Uncut come earlier though cause I cant stay up to 3.

"Well, I don't know what to suggest sir. Try turning the "Hue" dial on the TV."

The sad fact is ever since viacom took over they have buring the channel.
If you compare the videos ( When they play them ) you will notice that BET videos are more sensored than MTV's even when they are playing the same exact stuff. This make MTV look more cutting edge and BET second rate. Since most people don't know they are owned by the same company it's easier to make your first brand look stronger by making the competition look weak.

Made it look even worse than it was while Mtv showed as was.

And then the fairy godmother will make the big bad monsters go away. We can then live happily ever after.

TV-One, an offshoot of Radio-One already does that (minus the news). Like I haven't seen all those repeats already.

I'm gonna start paying attention to What Hudlin does with his position of power, if it's all that substantial anyway.

bet isn't really BET anymore its geared to young girls of all races between the ages of 12 and 19.so that leaves a huge chunk of black watchers out of the picture.
