View Full Version : WWE RAW Review: " Labor Day Masterpiece"

I was away this weekend. It wasn't for a vacation or anything. Due to a bad Satilite connection its cost me CBR. I finally called and it gotten taken care of...thank god. So thats why Im back.
Now to the news:
Up at WWE.Com Rob Van Dam has an Interview up where he talks about the ECW Reunion show, his injury and wanting to face Shawn Micheals when he gets back. Ya know.....if they actually push Shawn vs Rob in a good PPV Match it would shock me. Hell Rob's wanted it for 2 years. But the f-cking genuis's at WWE Creative won't do it.
Jim Ross in his Ross Report chimed in on Chris Masters and Carlito. Saying both can eithor hang with the Big Dogs right now or be relegated to the porch. Jim...buddy , pal , Masters sucks and doesn't deserve to be at least on the porch. Carlito can at least freakin work...
Steve Austin is on a massive workout regimen and is expected back soon. And he's in shape. Rocky wants to come back as Ross Reports. He misses the WWE.
Mick Foley's new WWE deal comes with a bigger signing bonus than what TNA offered. Its expected that Foley may not have used TNA as leverage to get him. But had Foley signed with TNA , its expected he would have worked a program against Samoa Joe. God knows...we need to see Foley/Masters at a PPV.
Many WWE employees are secretly happy that TNA Is running against the WWE. They feel its gonna increase the alternate work option and that compitition will help the WWE.
TNA at 1st was dissapointed about Foley signing with the WWE. But will continue thier talks with Bret Hart , Sting , Goldberg and Chris Jericho. Thier lining up as many names for thier October 1st debut on Spike TV as possible.
TNA Is close to finalizing a Video Game deal.
Austin Aires will work the Unbreakable PPV. Management were impressed by his work at the last PPV.
Spike TV will ( as I predicted 2 weeks ago) air TNA Impact replays on Monday Nights at midnight. This is as close as anything that has aired against Monday Night RAW since WCW went off the air.
Onto RAW:
The Good: Kurt Angle kicks off RAW and thats never bad. Hell thats pretty cool by my book. So now he's out to finish the job on Eugene and at 1st the crowd is behind Kurt. But the more heelish Kurt gets and works Eugene's bad leg he loses the fan support. At the end Cena makes the save after Kurt's ass kicking.
Cena is rollin until Tyson Tomco comes out with a BIG BOOT of DOOM. See kids. Tyson ala Masters has the things Johnny Ace ( aka guy on Road Warriors DVD) loves.
BIG BODYBUILDER AND LOOK ? Check.
TATTOOS ? : Check.
SUCK ASS IN RING ? : Check.
At least thier now trying to rebuild the Tag Division with the Heart Throbs and Viscera/Venis . Plus with Murdoch/Cade as well. They need to do this. Of course having a match where " Whose the Biggest Chick Magnet ? " doesn't really help.
Decent match. Viscera/Venis are pretty over.
The Carlito Cool segment starts as he has his Cabana rockin ! He has the WWE Diva Search winner and I finally learn her name. Yep...like I cared. Ashley gets told she sucks cleary by Carlito and needs a new look.
I have to agree with him on that. Ashley has seemingly decided to dress up as a tom boyish truckstop ho each week. He isn't lying. She has wore that same outfit for weeks. Like that Sienfield episode where Jerry dated that woman who wore the same outfit almost every day.
Carlito hypes his future PPV clash with Ric Flair and promises more dark times ahead for the Nature Boy. The 2 have a fight and Flair drives Carlito off. Crowd cleary LOVES...the Nature Boy.
Matt Hardy has a talk with Bischoff about his brutal street fight with Edge last week. Now your obviously thinkin , like I did that common sense says.." Keep Matt Hardy strong " booked for a huge PPV Cage Match. WROOOOONNNGGG.
You book him against Gene Snitskey and have him lose another comical match. If Matt can't see the common sense that he's obviously buried and is only helping Edge Main Event soon , he's lost his mind.
That TNA Commercial looks bad ass. Be afraid Vince, be very afraid. Your compition is here. :evilsmile
Least Kurt Angle saved us after a lame match. He shows up and beats down John Cena ! He's so into his HEELNESS he does his evil face and look. Fans boo Angle pretty loudly. Yep...this is what ya want. A hot face and a hot heel. They could make 1 or 2 PPV's outta this.
Then Kurt cuts a vicious promo about " Being Real ". Kurt's making his heel thing work so bad he foams at the damn mouth at the end ! THATS INTENSE !!
Here comes the greatest athlete in the WWE , Shelton Benjimen. Thats what Jim Ross said. Its too bad he isn't 6-4 , built like a greek god and all. Then he'd be loved by Johnny Ace.
Benjimen will face Conway. Of course the funniest thing happens as Chav- , I mean Kerwin White drives down on his golf cart. Its funny to watch.
In a prediction Kerwin White is the supposed heel in this. But will in fact get plenty of cheers. Because the gimmick is silly and goofy and him driving a golf cart down to the ring with Frank Sinatra music will get him over. More over than Benjimen who won't get any mic time at all sad to say.
The WWE with signing Foley , plug his book signing and all. Foley pretty much lays out his future return.
Holy crap....its the Blackjacks again ! No..thats Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade. Ya know....this would work if they didn't force Murdoch to wear tights. He should wear blue jean pants and wrestle in flannel cut off shirts. If he is playing a redneck. He shouldn't wear what Cade is. Also he's cleary a brawler type.
Nice finisher by Murdoch. He has that Dick Murdoch look. But they need to change his appearance to make his charactor work.
Micheals to his credit sells Masters but as you can tell fans weren't into it. They barely cared. Then Shawn does a blad job to sell Masters as fans shrug. Thats bad....and comical. Them pushing a guy no one wants to see. Thats funny.
The Bad: Horrible buildup to a lame ass " Masterlock Challenge". If you changed your minds last week...why force it on fans this week.
This is Johnny Ace ass kissing to a huge degree. Here we see Ace ass kissing with various promo's of a lame wrestler and move that sucks. And they keep airing them like everyone has been impressed by Chris Masters.
By the end I wanna ask.." Why do I care if Micheals does break his lame " Masterlock" ? Its not like I can get this f-ckin loser off my TV.
Least Cena/Tomco didn't last long. Yet another heavily muscled body builder who sucks. God thats all Johnny Ace can find right now and its freakin sad.
Ashley (Tomboy Truckstop Diva ) faces Torrie Wilson in a horrible woman's match. Its so horrible ya have to question the moves made in this division. Like Stacy Kiebler asking to be moved to Smackdown so she wouldn't have to wear a mask. I'm serious....she felt men wouldn't see her as well.
Having someone who's never worked that much is wrong. And Ashley may have suffered a broken nose because of it. Tell me thats genuis.
Then genuis continues as Masters shows up and gets his usual response. No one caring. This is someone Ace wants to build a company around ? Jesus....at least thanks to Ace fans will be so full of apathy they will run to TNA.
Overall: **1/2 outta 5. Bad segments and matches. The buildup to a lame ass wrestler using a lame ass finisher didn't help. Just sad really. Micheals himself can't save his match against Chris " KC Masterpiece " Masters from blowin at the PPV.

But they need to change his appearance to make his charactor work.
I have to disagree with you on this, Supes. His character is 'Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch reborn. To wrestle, act, and dress as anything other than Dick Murdoch would hurt the character.
Damn... Trevor looks and wrestles so much like Dick (even down to the selling) it's SCARY!

It is...but Rednecks dress different. He's dressed as a cowboy. It doesn't sell his charactor at all.

As much as I like Shawn, him not falling to the Masterlock was bull.
Murdoch needs to be over the top.
And I was wondering what genius put rookie women in the ring together.
And what did Candice do to earn her stripes?

Batista at least learned ho to work decent enough. As well as had mic skills that didn't consist of saying: " Look at my pecs. Look at me."
Batista caught on because he slowly developed a charactor. Masters doesn't have one and he sucks. I haven't seen anything in ring that shows me he's good. Maybe Micheals will get a miracle from him.
I'm happy Ace is hiring these guys. Maybe the apathy will make fans turn the channel....

Bring Back Muhamed.... please. He was 20 times the wrestler Masters is. No make that 50 times the wrestler. Send KFC Masters back to OVW until he can learn a few wrestling moves.

I know we have to suspend belief sometimes for pro wrestling....
....but Shawn...kicking someone in the nuts to get out of a hold that can be broke just by falling on your ass...it's just too much. It is.

i was at Raw live this week. Fun show and good experience. Here's the highlights as I ALWAYS study crowd reaction during wrestlers of the greatest interest.
*Angle got a big pop with the big "You Suck" chants. They chanted "Let's Go Angle" during the Eugene match but booed him as the match went on. Cena came out to a big pop but got knocked out really quick by Tomko. Fans cheered him getting back to his feet and leaving dazed.
*Carlito got no real pop at all. But fans were laughing at his comments. Several times. Flair got a MASSIVE pop with huge cheers big time during the entire segment. Fans were laughing hard during the "Balls grab" parts. He dropped some elbows and knees on the mat. Fans loved that too. Ultra loud "Whoo" chants.
*Benjamin came out to a nice pop. Fans around me kept steadliy chanting "Let's go Shelton". Conway got no reaction as usual. Girls around me was commenting on how he came off homosexual. Kerwin White came out to no heat or reaction at all. Fans were cringy and "ahhhhing" with Conway going over. NOBODY cares for Conway. Benjamin got of the ring looking pissed and chased Chavo to the back. But before he left, he got a golf club out of that cart and fans laughed/popped for that. Personally, I have Shelton vs Chavo being the match of the night at Unforgiven in two weeks. The other matches just doesn't compare ring wise.
*The preview for Rock's movie "Doom" was shown and once his image was clear, the fans popped huge as if he was there. Girls were asking "was the WWE promoting his movies?". Small "Rocky" chant started. Saw some "Rock vs HBK= WM 22" signs too. Someone in the front row had a "This person loves Stone Cold, This person loves the Rock" sign too.
*Hurricane and Rosey came out to a medium pop. Hick Boys not NO reaction at all. No heat or anything. Fans barely got behind Rosey and Hurricane in the match. There some vocal fans chanted "Rosey" hard as if he was some kind of big star. I was rolling.
*Masters did a promo which got NO reaction. Not on hiss. Just fans turning their heads looking at the screen not giving a fu*k about him. They also showed some kind of video recap for the "Masterlock'. Again, nobody cared. He was so boring that I forgot to chant "Boring" during his segment. He's that bland.
*Cena vs Tomko. Cena got another pretty big pop. There was some "Let's Go Cena" and "Cena" chants. Tomko got no reaction. Again. Surprised, Cena got beat up for that long in the match. Tomko is too big of a jobber to be punking him like that. Another out of no where "FU" for the win though. Angle kicked his ass after the match and that got big heat. I was standing up clapping and cheering for Angle hard. When he held the title up, I gave him a standing ovation. Cena got up to big cheers again and needed help going to the back.
*Hardy vs Snitsky. Huge pop and Hardy chants. Lita and Edge came out to big heat. Hardy jobbed clean to Snitsky and Big Show came out to a HUGE pop. Fans went crazy for him. Edge and Lita left. Big Show and Hardy left out to cheers up the ramp. Huge "Big Show" chant during commercial
*Oh yeah. The Viscera/Venis thing made the fans happy. Some small "Let's go Val" chants and fans went crazy when Viscera got tagged in. I guess their trying to rebuild the tag division with the Hick boys, Viscera/Venis, Dupree/Tomko, Hurricane/Rosey, etc. We shall see in time.
*Chris Masters and the Michaels segment made me sick to my stomach. I don't like supporting Shawn Michaels. He's an insult to my intelligence and he has too many wrongs in the past to take him serious but I tried to muster enough energy to support him against Masters because this guy getting pushed is making me VERY annoyed. He keeps the fuc*king Masterlock on for a LONG time as Michaels makes his Superman comeback thing and finally breaks it as it seems like it was over. Masters gets a chair out of NO WHERE, mind you, and cracks Michaels' head open. Fans boo this part pretty hard. Huge HBK chants during the whole thing too, HBK fans. I know you love hearing that, right? Sure, but a 275lb man needed a chair to kick Shawn Michaels' ass for some reason and he still didn't get any real reaction. Truth be told, Chris Masters is a waste of time, push, and credibility to superior stars. The sooner this guy is depushed, the DAMN better.
Dark Match after the show, John Cena/Big Show vs Angle/Snitsky. Cena and Big Show get huge pops again. Angle got the "Angle SUCKS" chants big time. Snitsky? Nobody really cared. Cena and Big Show both hit finishers and beat Angle/Snitsky at the same time. They shake hands and do the Hogan thing after the match. They take their time leaving the ring and sign some autographs. Fans loved them.
Other notes...Lilian and some guy were giving free shirts away for the side of the audience making the loudest cheers. They got booed after each time though as some thought they were ignored. Ross and Lawler got HUGE pops too. Especially Ross. A big "Jerry" chant happened during the commercial too. Nice show and that was it.

Ha ! I remember even before Batista made his debut on RAW , you were already on Batista's back because of his preview ads on RAW showing him pumping iron and flexing.
Not to mention when he finally debuted , you were rather relentless on your attack on him just because he's a big lunk and isn't a mobile flying crusierweight in the ring.
How long did it took for Batista to make his mark ? Batista had Evolution to thank for his current popularity .Without Evolution , he might well have been like Tyson Tomko now , the fearsome looking jobber. Looks tough but jobs a lot.
Whether Masters will ever make it is still too early to say , he can end up like Kane , a mid carder that gets short pushes and always ended up back in the mid card.

It was the chair HBK was sitting in for the challenge. They never took it out of the ring, just moved it over to the corner.
As for the rest of RAW it was not very good. I got up and got me a drink during the Diva match it was so bad. I'm sure Vince watches RAW, why would he put that crap on TV when he see's no one cares?
Agreed about Benjamin/Chavo. That'll be a great match. I really don't want to see HBK wasted on Masters at the PPV though, I'm hoping they do something different.

- The main event this week wasn't even a match! I don't care if it's HBK going for the Masterlock Challenge--how can this be a main event? I kept waiting for some semblance of wrestling to break out, but it never did.
- Cena & Tomko in the same ring? I suppose it wasn't as awful as they looked in the tag team match when Cena first moved to raw though.
- WTF happened to Murdoch in the middle of the tag team match? It looked like he was walking around the ring drunk. Even Hurricane looked like he was thinking: "What are you doing?" doing the match.
- I like the pairing of Viscera and Val. I felt like I was watching a replay of the same match I saw on HEAT last night, but it's good to have a tag match on RAW that's not for the tag team titles. (Or consists of 4 singles wrestlers main eventing)
- I was actually kind of shocked they went through with the Ashley/Torrie match. I was like "No way they'd trust Torrie to carry Ashley to a match yet." Well, I was wrong. Other than the botched Sunset Flip (and Ashley looking too sloppy) the match wasn't too awful. Will they do Ashley vs. Candice next week?

I'm starting to dig Conway. Guy can work and he's playing his character well. The shorts aren't my favorite... but the music has actually grown on me. Just give him a serious feud, which shows him off, and we're in business. In fact, a feud with Shelton would be perfect. A long grueling fued between the two could help both guys. Hell, if you're going to put unestablished people in front of HBK, why not Conway? Sure would be a hell of alot more entertaining of a buildup and match the Masters can give. I feel the same way about Dupree. Sure both of them are gimmicky, but they're gimmicky in the way that The Mountie, Rick Martel and Rick Rude were gimmicky. In other words, the good way. Say what you want about Dupree and Conway, but those two are extremly into their characters. Time and effort has been spent. They do the little things that most people won't see. Those little things make the biggest difference in the world. I respect them both for that.
I have no clue what managment sees in Masters? He has little to nothing going for him besides his body. However, I did see HBK work with the guy a couple days ago. After witnessing that match, I have to admit, Master's plays the perfect broom.

Ha ! I remember even before Batista made his debut on RAW , you were already on Batista's back because of his preview ads on RAW showing him pumping iron and flexing.
How fast were those segments dropped ? Those preeview ads lasted awhile but Batista wasn't getting over at all. It was the moment he started developing that funny , unstoppable monster charactor that got him over. Not him pumpin iron and flexin.
Not to mention when he finally debuted , you were rather relentless on your attack on him just because he's a big lunk and isn't a mobile flying crusierweight in the ring.
He wasn't good at all when he debuted. Thats the truth. In fact they scaled his ring work back and his injury happened at the right time. It allowed them to slowly let him learn and work his way back.
He really learned his act from HHH. If anyone gets credit its HHH & Flair for teaching him. Orton passed him as a worker and talent and thats why he got the 1st mega push in Evolution. Because he was way more ready than Batista was at that point.
But Batista slowly learned his skills and grew. That I admit. Masters was taken off WWE TV for months due to nearly killing guys and even now he barely works against the roster. You really have no Idea how good or bad Masters will be at Unforgiven. Because they have paired him into Tag Teams and used him to beat jobbers in his Masterlock Challenge.
How long did it took for Batista to make his mark ? Batista had Evolution to thank for his current popularity .Without Evolution , he might well have been like Tyson Tomko now , the fearsome looking jobber. Looks tough but jobs a lot.
Batista really wasn't meant to join Evolution at 1st. In fact his spot was supposed to go to Mark Jindrak. But the WWE changed thier minds and felt Batista needed a mouthpiece with Flair.
I think Batista would have learned to be a funny monster type had he not joined Evolution. His charactor seemed set once he did that bit in December. The fans turned Batista. They really dug his act and his mic stuff. By the end he didn't need Flair.
Whether Masters will ever make it is still too early to say , he can end up like Kane , a mid carder that gets short pushes and always ended up back in the mid card.
Well with Johnny Ace around expect him to be kept. This is all Ace hires anyhow. Joey Styles did say one true thing: " I'd watch RAW but I'm tired of seeing no talent body builders ! "

My favorite part of Raw last night was Jim Ross insisting on calling Kerwin Chavo Guerrero. I really don't care for the Kerwin White character, but I'm pretty sure that Chavo and Shelton Benjamin can put on a very good match.

Post-Raw Muddled thoughts, begin:
-I missed the Mastors-Michaels match. I still haven't seen Mastors wrestle, but I'll try to keep an eye out for him. From what I've heard, Mastors is crap, but I have to check it out for myself. I *did*, however, FINALLY get to see what the Mastorlock is, and let me tell you, that is a TERRIBLE finisher. It's just a Full Nelson. That's ALL.
-Does anyone else think that the Benjamin-Conway match had more potential than was carried out? I think that Chavo coming out in the middle of it ruined the feel of it. (Of course, this is my first time seeing Chavo as Kerwon White.)
-I felt that the show was going to be crap when I found out that Angle would have a spot in the first match with Eugene. That's the kind of match they save for high mid-card or main events, not the kickoff.
-Ashley can't cut a promo to save her life. She didn't belong in there with someone as talented on the mic as Carlito. I know that Carlito was struggling in there because Ashley couldn't keep a dang straight face. I hate the Diva Search, I hate the fact that a lot of the Divas can't wrestle.
-Ric Flair's a face again. Good news.
End this edition of Devon's Post-Raw Muddled Thoughts.
-End Transmission.

You guarantee? Ok... and what does that have to do with what I was talking about? I was mentioning the upside of two guys who fit the mold that WWE likes to push. Two guys that are built like bricks and can back it up in the ring. It was a contrast to the guys that they are pushing, ie guys that are built, but can't work.
By the way... Conway helped train Shelton. Just food for throught.

According to Ticketmaster.com , the 1st RAW on USA Network will see the returns of Steve Austin , HHH and Hulk Hogan on October 3rd. There is talk within the WWE to start work early on a possible Hogan/Austin angle and build it to Wrestlemania 22.
TNA has signed Gail Kim and Jushin Thunder Liger to work the Bound For Glory PPV. Liger hasn't worked a US PPV since Starcade 1996 against Rey Mysterio Jr and his return to the United States is being seen as a big deal. He's the guy who revolutionized Cruiserwieght wrestling in the early 1990's in WCW and in Japan.
Mark Jindrak and Matt Morgan are filimh a new reality show from thier website. The 2 were followed around and entered the arena where Smackdown was with them.

I hate the Diva Search, I hate the fact that a lot of the Divas can't wrestle.
I despise the Diva Search too, but it seems that they are at least slowly getting rid of the ones who don't want to wrestle. Maria has been getting good reviews for her ring work for those that follow OVW, and Michelle McCool is still presumably at Deep South Wrestling. Christy has said numerous times she wants to go to a wrestling training camp as well. Hopefully, that will only leave Candice as the useless diva ho....

it will be nice to have foley and austin back, they've actually been missed.
True, but you left out one guy. HHH has been missed too.
Oh, and yes these three will definitely help Raw back to greatness along with some others like Angle and Edge. It's just been to shitty and rediculous to even watch since late June.

Again besides the.." Its been shitty and ridiculas " quote over and over. Why not give a reason. HHH has been missed about as much as a hang nail. He's fine if they push him to upper-midcard fueds and concentrate on getting him into fueds with Benjimen , Hogan or Flair. But the moment he clogs up the Main Event scene you wanna cry.
Maybe because even the WWE admitted they over-exposed him in 3 years. Its time they built the company around new Main Event heels and faces. And stop back pedeling. Doing Legend matches is nice. But you have to create new stars or ya become WCW and fizzle fast.

Actually, you are wrong. This site is small and not big at all. Go to the top site or sites on the net and you can see that all the internet fans even miss HHH. HHH is missed by the casual fans as seen through reports from Raw or house shows and by signs in the audience.
You might want to cry if he's in the main event scene, but I wouldn't. If you have guys like Cena and Batista as champions and putting on horrible matches. Than HHH will bring life to the main event scene.
I gave plenty of reasons why it's been shit. Which is main events being consisted of Cena, Masters, Carlito, and Snitsky. The diva search and Hogan's boring ass. Plus, the matches and segments have been completely shit to watch.

Most sites don't care that he's gone as well. There is fans who do miss HHH. But most are happy he's left the WWE sphere of existance for awhile. At TNAwrestling.com we used to joke that WWE would implode if HHH booked himself in the mid-card awhile.
Fans also have signs wanting the Ulti, mate Warrior and Bret Hart back as well. As well as signs with funny crap on them.
You might want to cry if he's in the main event scene, but I wouldn't. If you have guys like Cena and Batista as champions and putting on horrible matches. Than HHH will bring life to the main event scene.
Cena's matches haven't been horrible. He's worked good matches with Jericho and Carlito. Plus Cena works a style similiar to Austin in ring where he rallies and defies the odds to win. Plus any match between Cena/Angle won't suck.
Batista was cursed by working with JBL. Now he gets Eddie Guerrero and your gonna see solid matches that way. So if you actually watch theres 2 World Champions who can put on memborable Title matches. And HHH Isn't in sight.

Cena is the WWE World Champion. Of course he would be in the Main Event. And he hasn't been sh-t. ( Language..Greg wants a PG 13 rated board here man.)
Plus Cena has performed strong with everyone. He has his fans. His matches have showcased him well and his fued with Kurt Angle isn't sh-t by any means.
Masters is one bad thing really. That and the Diva Search but the rest since June has kicked ass. You have Micheals becoming the Shawn of old and having an intense fued with Hulk Hogan and Carlito vs Flair. While not Earth shattering its pretty good to watch.
In the end HHH being away was the best thing possible. The roster was able to move up and new heels and faces made the show fun to watch. With HHH back he'll odds are demand a 6 month fued with Cena and make us suffer thru it all.

Most fans aren't happy that HHH left. Once HHH returns, he'll be getting a huge pop. Cena's matches have been pretty horrible. His only good matches were against Jericho and he needed to be carried.
There is not 2 world champions who can put on memorable matches. Cena and Batista just can't do that. HHH on the otherhand can do that. I believe Cena has been pretty shitty and isn't shit for PG-13 movies, so what is the difference with having shit on a PG-13 boards? Isn't it the same?

I actually wouldn't mind a HHH/Angle series at all. Hopefully Angle will beat Cena at Unforgiven and we can see some quality Championship matches. Love him or hate him, HHH isn't bad in the ring, I just don't want him to be the central focus of RAW for the next 3 years.

He should come back but not in a Main Event scene and book himself as World Champion and take a spot that Angle,Edge or Micheals could have now.

He is getting carried somewhat because he's still a guy who's learning. Goldberg needed to be carried a lot as did a lot of other wrestlers who were too green or who battle thru injuries. HHH was one of them in 2003.
He'll get a pop yeah. But he wants to play the 1# Heel still. Thats why some do have problems with him.

Cena and Batista seemingly have put on memborable matches. The matches against Jericho have been solid enough and Batista has obliterated JBL pretty well. The fued with Eddie Guerrero should be good.
Also Batista had a series of good matches against Benoit back in Jan. Where he nearly kicked Benoit's head off his head.
Look at Greg's rules for the board. He's afraid some young kids will read this board and see some hard language. He has a set rules set up.
Michaels has been basically carrying Raw since HHH left and it is still shit.
To each his own. I think Micheals has done a solid job as he was the 1# Heel til Kurt Anle took that spot over.

I agree with what a lot of people have said. Triple-H is tiresome when he's the central focus of RAW every single week for the several years. Look at all the angle advancements that have been done since he's been gone. It's been great. In the past pretty much every single storyline revolved around Triple-H and the rest of it kind of seemed thrown in there.
It would suck for HHH to be thrust back into the main event right after he's been away. He should have to re-establish himself again. Give him a Rob Conway like run through the singles division.

Or because he was surrounded by the best i.e. Flair and HHH. Perhaps their hoping for the same outcome by putting Masters up against Shawn.

I don't know , Masters remind me of Lex Luger and his "masterlock" kind of reminds me of Luger's torture rack submission move.
Masters at least seemed pretty comfortable on the mic from the start unlike Batista in the beginning who had Ric Flair as his mouthpiece.

Abyss of TNA has opened his own wrestling website finally at www.monsterabyss.com
WWE RAW had a huge drop in the ratings this week. This weeks edition pulled a 3.6 while UFC's " Ultimate Fighter " pulled a 1.5 following RAW.
WWE Is pushing the 10/3 RAW now by calling it the " Night of Champions". Ric Flair , Hulk Hogan , Steve Austin , Mick Foley and HHH will be returning that that night. Odds are its to try and pop a good rating for USA Network and all.
TNA Is in talks with Ultimo Dragon to come in and work select PPV's as a special attraction. Dragon could be signed soon.
Austin Ares has impressed TNA officials with his work at the last PPV and will work Unbreakable as well. He also could be signed soon.
Matt Bentley has resigned with TNA and will be coming back at anytime. Do I smell a " 2 Cool Dudes " reunion ?
The action figures line will be debuting in Kaybee Toy stores soon. The line features Jeff Jarrett , Abyss , A.J Styles and Raven. Its also has the 6 sided ring.
TNA has signed an extension with Eurosports overseas to air TNA Impact in 54 countries. The deal is good til 2006.
Well the WWE Creative Team continues thier streak of firing guys quickly. Rudy Fischermann was sent packing today after he reportedly yelled at Torrie Wilson Ashley Massaro for thier god awful waste of time match on RAW.
Fischermann had been talking down to wrestlers and was warned over it. Vince McMahon and others praised the match because he's the Boss and all.
WrestleMag has put up the poster of Taboo Tuesday and it features Kurt Angle , John Cena and Eric Bischoff. It appears that fued stretches into Taboo Tuesday.
CM Punk made his debut in OVW. Good-bye Punk how long before the hair is cut and your style is f-cked ?
The WWE appears to be scared of Shane Douglas as a booker now. The Legal Department for WWE is contacting the Arena's across the country where " Hardcore Homecoming " will be taking place requesting background checks and the works.
The company has also said that Hardcore Homecoming is infringing on thier copyrights by using ex-ECW Talents. And doing ECW type shows.
Ok....thats moronic. The WWE can't copyright Terry Funk from using a damn trashcan in a match. Thats f-cking ridiculas and odds are Shane will light them up promo wise for this.
Hardcore Homecing was a huge sucess in Philadelphia in June and shows in Cleveland , Buffalo , and Pittsburgh are sheduled over the next week.
The WWE also contacted Ventura Distribution who are distrubing the Hardcore Homecing DVD to block them. Talk about scared sh-tless. I guess when Douglas can draw a damn 140,000 live gate and do nearly 200,000 grand in total merchindice and attendance then you know your gonna lose money!

Heres a tip. The WWE tries to change with the modds of whatever they feel. In 5 years if HHH divorces Stephanie , they'll erase him from history. He won't be talked about.
In fact heres a small excert from Scott Kieths " The Death of the WWF " published in early 2004.
The 10th Anniversy of RAW was coming up called RAW X. So how best to sell this show ? Invite anyone and everyone who has ever taken part in RAW to be a guest ?
During the show it was generally believed that the 2 men most responsible for destroying WCW was....( drumroll) Bill Goldberg and Bret Hart.
Hulk Hogan would go on to say that some men were greedy and some were getting paid too much like Bret Hart. This was like the pot calling the kettle black...
Paul Wright himself would say some men were too lazy and couldn't work. This was the f-cking Giant of all people tossing stones at Bill Goldberg for being lazy and not a good worker.
See ....right now the WWE wants Bret Hart back. Those statements by Hogan were quickly forgotten. You see how he was defending Hart on RAW lately ? Hart has a 3-disc DVD coming out so now the company has changed thier minds on him. What a differance 2 years make.
See Bill Goldberg ? less than 6 months later Goldberg was in a WWE ring. Those comments by Wright were forgotten and he was jobbed to Goldberg. Because they changed thier minds.
The polls in RAW X were so rigged and f-cked up its not a shock the WWE scripted the entire show. And fans knew it. Thats why RAW X is never talked about for the godawful display of crap it was. Just like 2002-2003 for the company.

If Stephanie and HHH were to divorce. WWE would do absolutely nothing about it. Vince is to high on HHH to punish him for their divorce. Besides it wouldn't be a smart business decision to try to damage HHH's legacy.
The fans want HHH. WWE.com poll and the signs in the audience and Raw reports prove that the fans are dieing to see HHH back in WWE.

Vince doesn't give a damn about legacy's or whatever they are. If HHH ever divorces Steph he's up sh-t creek without a paddle. Want proof ?
Hulk Hogan: In the mid 1990's WCW lured Hogan away to a huge deal. Vince in turn decided to just gloss over anything Hogan did in the 80's by saying he had a huge ego and didn't know when to give back to the " New Generation ".
Then Vince did his legend further harm by having skits where Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage were mocked as 2 old cripples . What a way to honor that Legacy huh ?
Steve Austin: In 2002 Stone Cold had quit the company abruptly. He walked out. So what does Vince do ? He decides at RAW X to have a show crediting the turn around of the WWF Attitude to one man: HHH.
This was so full of horse sh-t that it ruined feelings with Austin further and the 2 went longer without talking. The end result...Vince doesn't care about your Legacy. If somethin happens and you do something like leave your f-cked.

I really don't think Vince will do anything if HHH and Stephanie were to divorce. I think HHH might be less in the main event or he will be in the exact same position he was when he is married to Stephanie.

Ratings have hovered between 3.5 an 4.0 all year, regardless of who was on and who wasn't. If you think HHH kept ratings at a higher level than they are now, you're ignorant of the facts. No one in the company right now is the difference between one show rating and another. In fact, the bigger spikes for ratings tend to be for post-big event shows. But, really, talking about ratings specifically at this point is pretty much a waste of time. Analyzing ratings was interesting during the Monday Night War because you could try and gauge who was important to the audience based on who was changing channels when. There was a big pie of wrestling fans there and if you followed the quarterly ratings you could tell who was getting over, who was dying on the vine and who was a real draw. Now that there's no competition, it really just becomes a question of what the show's drawing vs. other shows available at that time. There simply isn't a significant casual viewership to study and the ratings follow pretty standard patterns, a big first quarter hour rating, a mid-show drop-off, then a build to the final sequences. None of this has shown to correlate with PPV buy rate changes as those are holding pretty steady and none of this is leading to a noticeable surge in house show attendance which historically is the first sign of a real business change. House show business isn't anywhere near great levels and the only person who could be attributed to being a draw on house shows is Cena, as evidenced by the amount of merchandise he sells at those house shows.
WWE polls are always rigged. If you think otherwise you are, for lack of a better term, pretty damn stupid.

Chris Sabin will face Petey Williams and Austin Aries will face Roderick Strong tomorrow night on PPV. The orginal plan was supposed to be Sabin vs Shocker but Shocker's travel plans nixed that .
Can't say this is bad. 2 damn awesome matches along with Samoa Joe vs A.J Styles vs Chris Daniels for the X-Division Title. Eat your damn hearts out WWE.
The WWE however have plans of thier own. 1st up is the fact that Smackdown will be taped October 30th on Sunday due , to the fact that Taboo Tuesday is 2 days later. Least this won't be on during the World Series. So if TT bombs what do we blame it on ? The weather ?
Right now the WWE is busy being heartless and callous as usual. And odds are this will blow up in Vince's face. Lets start with the owner of the fan site for www.bigvanvader.com now. The poor guy got a letter from WWE saying that since Vader has signed a Legends Contract they own the site. This from a fan who isn't makin a damn dime and spent his hard earned cash keepin that site going!
It gets funnier. Justin Credible who hasn't done jack sh-t , than being in ECW and a former ECW World Champion got a " Cease & Desist" letter from WWE Management. They want Peter Polaco to drop the name pronto.
Billy Kidman got a nice call from Johnny Ace lately saying that when his 90 days No Compete Clause ends that he won't be able to call himself Billy Kidman,Kidman or anything close to it.
The Dudleyz were hurt worse. Not only can they not even use thier 1st names to sell thier old gimmick. Now its getting downright pissy , because they can't even dress like they did. Its f-cking nonsense. Give Vince a rope and he hangs you.
Its little wonder why Bentley and Kazarian didn't pr wouldn't stay. They would have been f-cked. Seein greed at its worse here.
More on Credible. The WWE has contacted Ventura Distribution and told them they have to remove his name from thier packaging. Because damn it...those people whu buy Justin Credible here may not buy Vince's ECW Justin Credible! Give me a f-cking break.
To follow up on the Vader story. Seems the WWE doesn't even own Vader and are pressuring the website owner to transfer the name to them. Tell em to kiss your ass pal. They deserve it.
Theres a poll up at WWE.Com where you can vote for Christians new shirt. No f-ckfaces....we wanted Captain Charisma , not something you fools can trademark and own him 6 years from now for wanting to use on an indy scene!
The WWE poll that Magneto sucks brags about. The one where HHH seems to be wanted back by the entire casual fanbase seems to be miss-leading. In fact heres who's ahead on who most fans want back on October 3rd.
Hulk Hogan: 32.6%
Steve Austin: 32.1%
Mick Foley: 21%
HHH: 14.2%
If Hogan's beating Austin then quite simply...thier f-cked. Thier building Foley and Austin's return as something huge. And no one wants to see HHH back judging from this. Odds are this is as rigged as the Diva Search or Taboo Tuesday voting.
Continueing thier battle to WIN OVER ANYTHING regarding someone who worked for thier company 1 time , the WWE may have had the Extremely Hardcore PPV pulled by Indemand. The company was sent a letter to stop using Joey Styles name and all to sell it. But refused to do so....and odds are could have been pulled by the WWE threatening to sue.
Now to the good news. And someone who will call the WWE on the sh-t they pull. Shane Douglas was on Monday Night Mayhem. Heres some brief thoughts he gave on various subjects.
On the WWE adopting ECW Storylines into thier shows: Shane claims that everyone felt that Hardcore Homecoming was a success. And he was happy. He also feels it was better than the ONS show the WWE did.
The WWE contacted him for weeks. Finally offering him $ 25,000 grand to come on. But he wouldn't rape ECW's Legacy for them.
Shane on Vince McMahon: The Dudleyz will be at this weeks Hardcore Homecoming. This leads into the recent actions by Vince McMahon and Shane goes BEZERK. He goes into classic Shane Douglas.
Calling Vince a " Scumbag Human Being " for not letting the wrestlers use thier names after thier done working for him. He says people know who he is because he's eithor Troy Martin or the Damn Franchise Shane Douglas.
He also says it horrible to do that to people who are trying to feed thier families! Calling it low. Joey Styles is a smart man and wouldn't have signed a contract unless it was for a lotta money and thats the only way Shane sees him doing business with Vince McMahon.
On Paul's role in OVW: The question of Paul Heyman comes up and how well he's excelling in OVW right now. Shane says Vince is a smart man and knows that once Paul's deal is over , he's gonna bolt somewhere. Paul is a genuis and TNA or another Promotion would be pretty successful if he showed up.
TNA and Vince's Reaction: Its the right time because TNA is bringing in young guys and the company is in the right spot to stick Wrestling down Vince's throat. To show him how its done.
Shane says that Vince is a scumbag and odds are asked for the commercials to be pulled because thats how he is. Andrew " Test " Martin also has some angry words about Vince being an asshole because he was fired with a bad neck injury last year.
A Future Head to Head clash!: Shane feels its not the right time yet to put TNA against the WWE on Monday Nights. They have to come on Cable and go from there. Spike is happy and one Executive attended the last PPV telling Shane he became a fan after watching the show.
On Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan : Shane says that Flair is still the Nature Boy , but sadly isn't the man he was 2 decades ago. That he swore once he hit 40 he wouldn't be the same guy. Flair needs to decide what he wants to do.
On Hogan , Shane admits that Hulk should have fired back better on Micheals in thier promos.
Shane plugs that Hardcore Homecoming will have up to a 5 dollar donation for Katrina Victims and all. TNA Is lining up help as well to donate for Katrina.

Wow what a differance a day makes. This thing is more rigged than Taboo Tuesday's voting. I love the fact that Hogan was leading in this over Steve Austin and those 2 were neck and neck. Then Foley was ahead of HHH til today.

Spike TV Executives will be at tonights PPV show. Also the Candido family will be in attendance watching.
TNA will be looking a lot at Roderick Strong. The past year they have used him as an enhancement talent but feel he's improved a lot this past year. And want to see what he can do.
Rumors are circulating TNA will be bringing in Homicide at some point.
Backstage is a who's who of WWE fired wrestlers. At the Unbreakable PPV there is: The Dudleyz , Shannon Moore, Andrew " Test " Martin , Kenzo & Hiroko Sazuki and Kevin " Mordeci " Fertig . Wow...thats a list of guys wantin a job backstage. Factor in Kevin Nash and Gail Kim as well and thats a full backstage!
Spike is also backstage filming video vigentess with the talent to air as commercails. I can sense Vince will be happy seeing A.J Styles do a voiceover as a commercial during RAW.

Look I did the same thing and saw it go up so many votes, but I kept on doing it and eventually I only saw 1 vote and even 3 votes after that. It just means WWE the most or one of the most visited wrestling sites has people voting on it at the time.
So, is it rigged or is it not? We will never know, but I think it's not since tomorrow we can see Austin and Hogan in the lead or it still could be Austin and HHH in the lead.

By this time tomorrow I'm gonna have a write in Vote and pledge my support for Goldberg to return. And vote a million times and watch my vote dwarf everyones! Ha ha ha.... ;)
I don't think it's rigged and I believe most people are looking forward to HHH's return. He'll get a huge pop.
Again to each his own. But I'm enjoying watching the numbers double and triple with each of these votes I'm doing.

I for one isn't looking forward to HHH return , maybe if he had been gone for a year or so , i might be but if he's back , it just means that someone will be left on the backburner and not be used , someone like Eugene , Kerwin White , Shelton Benjamin , RVD etc.

No no. He signed on with Inoki so he's protected.
Charle Haas.
I'll have to get ahold of video tapes to eventually catch up with Charlie's progress.

Hey, a lot of people view WWE.com, so who knows really if it's rigged or not. I doubt it's rigged. I can't wait for HHH's return. It should be kick ass. Better than anything I have been watching since June.

So, not watching TNA are you?
(And don't whine about Jarrett, he's doing EXACTLY what HHH does on Raw)

You hype him up almost as much as he hypes himself.

I hype HHH up, because he's that damn good. Raw has been shit and I think it has to do a lot with HHH's absense.
What are you talking about Gaz? Or should I say who you talking to with the, "whine about Jeff Jarrett", because I'll never whine about that.

IMO "Triple Crap" has always sucked from his days in WCW to when Foley was putting him over in fake barbwire matchs ( The one Mick used on HHH was plastic ) to how he buried any new talent that was not kissing his butt.
And come Oct. 3, the only cheers your going to hear for him will be the pre recorded ones piped into the sound system on your tv.

That's not what I heard from Takao Omori & Steve Corino. Or Shinjiro Otani.

A bullshit post.
1. Buried new talent that wasn't kissing his ass? Do you work backstage or are you talking out of your ass? I like to think you are talking out of your ass.
2. Always sucked? How long have you been watching wrestling? 2, 3 years? Have you seen his 2000 work where he was the MVP of that year?
3. HHH will be cheered greatly. It won't be as big as his MSG pop in 2002 of January, but it will be huge.
Like I said, I hype HHH up, because he really is that damn good. One of the best heels in the history of wrestling.

1. He's buried Rob Van Dam who won't kiss his ass. And Jericho as well. Both refuse to really kiss his ass backstage and both are who he buried in 2 to 3 years.
2. Scott Steiner was a hell of a worker in 1991-1992. Hey what do ya mean he sucks now ? I'm braggin about hios awesome he was back in the day!
Granted HHH from 1999-2001 was a great worker but his injuries and added muscle mass hurt him. He's only now since 2004 worked his way back into decent matches. Nothing to compare with what he did then.
3. HHH will be a heel when he gets back because he realizes that as a face he'll be 2nd or 3rd to everyone on RAW.

I never mention Scott Steiner. He sucked in 2003.
You don't know what goes on backstage, so don't act like you do. You don't know if they refused to kiss his ass and he didn't bury them.
HHH is a great in ring performer and he will put on great matches when he returns.

Steiner was a joke in '03 but was one of the best wrestling talents in the world in his prime. Everyone knows that. His workrate back then left the likes of Shawn Michaels and Scott Hall in the dust. He only became mediocre when he took body building too seriously and messed up his back.
It's funny how HHH was "very good" from 99-01 when Rock, Austin, and Foley were working weekly. HHH has only had "good matches" against popular and superior talent compared to him. He didn't draw, he was overpushed, his matches were overrated, and his push is never ending. To say Cripple H sucks is an understatement. Hell, Shawn Michaels is leagues ahead him in entertainment and that's AMAZING in retrospect.

This is why no one can take you seriously. You act like a retard.
Cripple H? No wonder why you are a dumb ass. It's HHH. Can you not comprehend that? Shawn Michaels and HHH are leagues ahead of Rock and Foley.
HHH did draw. It wasn't a huge draw like Austin and Rock, but he drew. To say he didn't draw shows how much wrestling knowledge you really have. 2000 was HHH's year and he brought so many great moments in his legendary career to disrespect his career is a slap in the face to wrestling. His matches to his promos were great.
It's amazing you can't comprehend anything, Erik the kid.

Well frankly you sound like an idiot most of the time so I usually skip your posts but this I'll agree with. As much as I love Rock and Foley as gimmicks, neither of them can wrestle for shit.

It is important if you have been a fan of wrestling for 20 years. And it is a slap in the face to wrestling to say the kind of shit Erik says.
Now, I've seen some of your posts and to me you seem like an idiot, so I really don't care for your opinion or posts.

Rock and Foley made HHH what he is. I hope someone like you are in kidding when you agree with the fool above your post. Foley and Rock are great story tellers which is why they have always gotten bigger crowd responses than ANYTHING HHH and Michaels have ever done. HHH has to continue to hold the title to get even small crowd interactions. Rock comes back and headlines matches with Goldberg or Austin just because his name is bigger than anything the WWE can produce today. MAJOR difference. Monumental difference in fact.
As for the gimmick poster? Really...haven't you embarassed yourself enough over the past week? Do I really have to keep punking out these Cripple H fan nobodies??

Gimmick? How is this a gimmick? I really don't like Magneto's character. That's not a gimmick, son.
Cripple H? Go ahead and call him that name. No one will take you seriously anyways.
