Sorry if this sucks, especially on the action.

Disclaimer: I didn't draw the picture that's attached, my friend Enigmacub did.

The Cat: Introduction
By JerrBear

Slowly, Jason crawled across the roof on his belly, slowly inching his way to the edge. He cursed the weatherman as he got to the edge. It was supposed to be a cloudy night, he thought to himself. Instead the skies were cloudless and the moon's light illuminated the rooftops! He took out a pair of binoculars from his belt and scanned the windows of the Takiashi building. The thief smiled as he timed the hallway patrollings of the various security guards. As they were out of sight, he slowly stood up and peered over the edge of the roof. Twenty feet to the next building.

The Cat pulled his hook cane from his belt and attached it to the top of his staff. After backing up a few feet, he tightened his grip on his staff and ran to the edge. As he sprang off the edge, Jason enjoyed the feeling of being mid air! As he fell, he held the staff out and it caught the edge of the building's fire-escape railing.

"One more building," he mutters to himself as he pulls himself up.

Jason quickly hides in some shadows as he hears a window open.

"Close the damn window," he hears a woman screech, "It's cold out there! And it was probably just some cat!"

Jason chuckles as the window closes. He climbs up the fire escape onto the roof of the building. As soon as he gets to the edge, he notices that he only has to jump a few feet onto one of the ledges of the Takiashi Incorporated's Headquarters. The larger building shadowed the apartment complex next to it so he didn't worry about being spotted, yet. The cat burglar jumped on the ledge and slowly inched his way to one of the windows.

He backed up against the wall as he saw the door open in the window, along with a flashlight beam.. The window opens and Jason can smell smoke coming from it. He pulls a mirror from one of the pouches on his belt and angles it toward the window. As the guard appears in the mirror, his back toward the window, Jason smiles. He pulls a damp cloth from a pouch and silently enters the room. The guard jerks and thrashes as Jason holds the chloroform filled cloth to the Guard's face! As the guard slumps in his seat, Jason pockets the cloth and turns off the flashlight.

Slowly he opens the door and peeks around the doorway. A guard walks past a cubicle and freezes as he sees Jason.

"Shit!" Jason mutters as he rushes at the guard.

As the guard tries to pull his walkie talkie from his belt, Jason twirls as he nears the guard and uses the momentum to hit the guard with his staff! One hit to the guard's temple and he's knocked out.

The guard slumps to the floor.

A man approaches the security camera center and sighs as he sees the guard asleep at the desk. He slams his fist against the desk a few times, and the guard finally wakes up.

"Boone, you were asleep again!" he mutters as he glares at the guard, "This is the third time this month!"

"I-I-I'm sorry Mr. Johnson," Boone stutters as he looks at the screens.

"Clear out your desk," Johnson states, "You're fire--"

Mr. Johnson freezes as he looks at the screen. "Alert the security guards on every level!" he exclaims, "There's an intruder in Mr. Takiashi's Office!"

"What about the police?" Boone asks.

"I'll handle that," Johnson lies.

Jason smiles as he pockets the papers and money he found in the safe.

"So far, so good," he congratulates himself.

The alarm system in the building goes off as he closes the safe.

Jason runs to the office's window and looks out. "Shit," he remarks as he notes that the next building is fifty feet away. As he turns around a guard enters the room. The guard yelps in pain as he feels a knife pin his hand against his gun and thigh! The Cat runs out of the room only to find four guards in his way. Jason grabs the nearest one and throws the guard at the three other guards! As the guards crash into some cubicles, the burglar exits into a stairwell.

"Very good," Johnson remarks to himself as he sees the thief jump down the middle of the stairwell and catch a ledge a few floors down.

He alerts the guards over walkie talkies.

Jason smiled as he disarmed another guard. He finally made it to where he had entered the building and climbed out on the edge, throwing a smoke bomb into the building. As he jumped on the rooftop of the apartment complex he heard shouting and coughing from the window and smiled as he smelled smoke in the air.

"You were right, Lyla," Jason admitted.

"Didn't I tell you?"

Jason watched his friend stretch in her seat as she giggled. "Did you read the newspaper?" she asked, "They're claiming that the thief had cut their phonelines so they couldn't call the police in time."

Jason nodded as he sipped his coffee.

"And," Lyla added as she held her own cup in front of her face, "They fired the guard who fell asleep at the job. Boone was a jerk anyway."

"I'm done after the next outing," Jason confessed.

Lyla nodded as she sipped her coffee. "How much money do you think you'll make selling my former boss's incriminating evidence?"

"Not sure yet, but enough to pay for mom's medical bills."

"Are you visiting her today?"

Jason stared at his cup of coffee for a few minutes before answering. "She doesn't want me to see her in her condition. I don't even know how I'll explain to her how I got the money."

Lyla got up and hugged her friend, "Well, if you do, tell Mrs. Elliott I said hi."

"So, you are certain you took care of that guard?"

"Yes, Mr. Takiashi," Johnson told his boss, "Boone won't have a chance to incriminate us should this somehow get to court."

Takiashi walked to a window and smiled. "I suppose you have hired investigators to track down this thief?"

"It's all taken care of, sir."

"You had better hope so," Takiashi stated, "I didn't work so hard building up this empire only to have some thief tear it down!"

Mr. Johnson sat down on a couch. "You have nothing to worry about, Sensei. Your Yakuza connections won't be revealed."
