Mine would have to be the great John Williams score for Superman: The Movie.
Danny Elfman's score for Batman 1989 comes in at a close second.

The Superman score is my favorite as well with Spider-man coming in second and the first Batman 3rd.

I'll go with the '89 Batman score as well.
Liked it a little more than William's Superman.

Does anyone remember the theme to the live action "Flash" series?
Think of the 1989 Batman theme. And... that's it. Elfman has trouble with diversity way too often.
Nothing beats the John Williams Superman theme.

Cant say that I do. But it's been such a long time since I've seen an episode of the live action "Flash" series. Although I do remember the show itself being fairly decent, and impressed with the look of the suit.

I agree, the suit was great and the show was fun (haven't seen it since it originally aired either, but I remember loving it)
The theme, however, was playing on a friend's computer a few years back, in the classroom.
"Batman?" I asked as I took my seat.
"Nope," he replied, smiling.
"That is too. That's Elfman's Batman."
"It's Elfman, but you have the wrong superhero. It's the Flash. And you're the fifth person today to do that. Out of five people."
It's rarer to confuse Superman's theme with anybody elses.
But Batman, The Flash, Spider-Man, Hulk (save the Mychael Danna holdovers which were fantastic), they're all the same beast.

LOL
Thats true.
If I'm not mistaken, I do believe that the live action television series of "The Flash" will be making it's way onto DVD sometime in the very near future. Guess it goes without saying that both of us would definately be picking that baby up. :D

Probably the original Batman and Superman movies. They were the most memorable.
If we're talking non comic based superhero movies I'm going to have to say Incredible.

To be fair, coming on the heels of the successful Batman franchise I think the producers of the Flash series asked Elfman to compose something in that vein.
And I hear Elfman's Batman theme in my head everytime I see Batman in a comic book. More specifically though, I think I might actually prefer the Shirley Walker versions of Elfman's theme, especially the version done for the opening of Mask of the Phantasm.

i'm going to have to add a vote to John William's score for Superman: The Movie. i really enjoyed Elfman's scores for Batman and especially Batman Returns but his tendency to repeat himself somewhat has kind of taken away from the appeal that music had for me. they just sound like so many other things. now i don't know if this is Elfman's fault or if it's a result of producers hiring Elfman and asking him to just produce some generic Danny Elfman music for their movies but either way the sameness of the music hurts it. William's Superman music is unique and completely captures the iconic tone and heroism of the film's title character.

I though the Spider-Man score was way too similar to Batman, and just didn't fit.
