so has anyone been reading this stuff?
story is good, but the art is crazy. Lu was good during wolverine, but his current stuff is leagues beyond! a little portacio, a little charest. it's all good.

can't wait to see how this all unfolds, and hopefully there will be more once he's done his marvel thing.

I just read issue #1, which I think is really good. Diggle wrote a solid story that began introducing the main players and the setting. He especially established the villian of the story as somone very smart and very evil. But more than anything else, I thought Silent Dragon #1 was excellent due to Lenil Francis Yu's fantastic pencils and Richard Starking's colors.

I think that this book is just beautiful to look at, with great Jim Lee type images and style, but with sound storytelling too. I now understand why Marvel signed Yu to an exclusive.

With that said, its a shame that this book has received little notice, as there were like 2 copies in my comics shop.

I'll make sure to pick up issue #2 this week if I can find it.

Is it out this week? Cool. There was a single panel, that Machine Samurai showing up, that I thought was absolutely beautiful....and belongs on my wall :D

SD rocks. this is one of my favorite titles at the moment - the art is fantastic - and the story takes us on a nice 180 in #2. diggle and yu are hooking this one big time - here's to hopes for an ongoing.

I picked up the first two issues, but haven't read them yet. I'll probably wait until #3 before I start reading the series.

I'm a fan of Leinil Yu's art. I was first exposed to him in the High Roads (2002) mini-series and was simply captured by his unique style. Yu's pencils and Gerry Alanguilan's inks are simple amazing.

Yu's work looks even better when inked by Dexter Vines.

Both Wolverine and the X-Men.

I think he works well with both inkers but his work here surpasses all of his previous stuff.

Silent Dragon rocks my socks. I usually don't pick up Wildstorm titles but this one just looked so cool and different like IDW's Smoke that I HAD to check it out. It's like Robocop meets Samurai Japanese action/story. I'm a sucker for cyborg stories that have the lead in a messed up death/backstory so big props to Andy Diggle for getting me into this along with Leinil Yu's amazingly detailed art.

I'd also buy it as a trade.

Both Wolverine and the X-Men.

He had the same inker on Wolverine and on the X-men? Really weird, because I found his Wolverine-stuff very, very good, but most of his X-men work was below average. Guess it was a rushjob then what made the difference.

Silent Dragon looks beautiful though. The comparison with Charest is definitely on. (I also see a lot of Nguyen in it, btw.) Definitely buying this series.

This series can only go forward.

The art is fantastic, the writing, better than expected.

Hopefully, once the exclusive runs out on Yu, there'll be more from Diggle and Yu because they're creating a subculture hit right now.

Only just bought #1 yesterday.
Damn good stuff.

Lenil Francis Yu is exclusive to Marvel now? Do we know what titles he will be working on yet?

Thus far, only confirmed one is Ultimate Hulk vs. Ultimate Wolverine with the writer from Lost (tv show).

Doesnt most "Exclusive contracts" allow them to work on their creator owned stuff still?

The track record shows that they can. DC and Marvel seem to be okay with a creator working for the rival as long as the creators project was greenlit before the exclusive ink dried.

Example:Rucka's exclusive to DC while finishing Wolverine
Jeph Loeb finishing his Supergirl run
