The suckage in both movies is high, but if you had to pick which sucked harder who wins?

Batman and Robin for ruining every single character in it and making us relive the 70s on the big screen. (shudder)

B&R is fine and is entertaining when you leave your common sense somewhere else. It is only stupid when you try to analyze it.
I didn't even see Superman IV.

Chubby Batgirl, horrible puns from Ahnuld, campy dialogue. B&R wins and it ain't even close.

Superman 4 had the villain who was created when Supes threw nukes into the sun, right?
I kinda liked it. :)
Batman & Robin, OTOH, is painful to watch.

Even chubby Alicia Silverstone is a *fox*.
Guts/Batman:
Yeah. For some unknown reason just because she couldn't fit into her costume the media made fun of her weight. :(

I think is a fox, too.
I think I could *settle* for worse. And I bet that everyone else could to (if your single).
Those costumes were fit tight something fierce. I wonder if Paris Hilton could have fit into that suit.
She couldn't be more than 130 lbs.

Alicia looked down right hot in the movie and the photos around that time period, too.
Did Batman & Robin kill her career? She was great in Clueless.

She actually is a cute girl and not at all heavy. But that costume revealed everything and she looked kind of big in the waist.

Does big around the waist make her any less hot at the time?
Pretty damned curvy us ya ask me.

Superman 4 wasn't good, but it still had Chris Reeves as Superman.
B&R had no redeeming features.

in superman 4, a millionare paid rich to find some kryptonite to kill supes. he did but it came out wrong and it turned him into pc superman. then they lured him into a machine that would kill him but didnt.
in superman 3, superman was gonna rid of the world nukes but lex luthor wouldnt have it. so he created a clone from supes' hair and trick superman into throw it into the sun. nuclear scratched him and came very close to killing superman.

Batman And Robin sucks the most. There's no way for me to enjoy that piece of crap.

Batman & Robin wins hands down as the worst.
Superman 4: The Quest for Peace isnt much better. But Chris Reeve returned once again to play the man of steel. And Gene Hackman also came back to ham it up as Lex once more. Would have loved to have seen the uncut version. But that doesnt look like it's going to happen anytime soon.
Batman & Robin on the other hand, is complete, and total garabge. A mindless, overly colorful film that had me walking out of the theater with a headache. The same kind of headache I got after the brief time I spent playing Virtual Boy back in the early 90's.
Ugh. Just absolutely horrid.

No. I just looked it up on IMDb, Superman III was Richard Pryor and IV was the Nuclear Man.

And you are absolutely correct.
Superman 3 was the 2nd sequel with Richard Pryor. Not a great film by any means. But the saving grace of this film was the pretty cool fight scene between the bad Superman, and Clark that took place in a junkyard.
Superman 4 brought back Hackman as Lex, and unfortunately Nuclear Man with him. It was also a Golan/Globus production, so you would automatically know not to expect much.

That in itself may be considered something a super power.
I can actually sit thru Batman Forever, no problem. But B&R is a totally different story. Saw it in the theater once, and once was enough. Although I must admit that I'm interested in Schumacher's commentary on the SE that is currently due out in Oct.

Well, I do have to shut my brain off to watch it.
I liked BF. Outside of Carrey stealing the movie and Two-Face being..non Two-Face like, I enjoyed it.

The funny thing with B&R is that I remember Arnold being on the Tonight Show, sometime when B&R was just on post-production, stating that "Mr. Freeze made The Terminator look like a babysitter."
Still not sure what the hell he was talking about.
I remember BF being a pretty big deal back in the summer of '95. The soundtrack was pretty decent as well. I liked Carrey as The Riddler, as he was really red hot back then. But a little too Gorshin-like for my tastes. Jones' Two-Face (or Harvey Two-Face, like thats his last name or something) should have been edited out completely. If Schumacher wanted The Joker, he should have hired Nicholson. But the film had it's moments, and I thought Kilmer was a pretty good Batman to be honest.

Speaking of the soundtrack, Schumacher got a lil lazy with that.
Actually, I liked the way Arnold played him. Played the tragic villain fine for my tastes.

Too many corny one liners for my tastes.
I'm hoping that Ben Kingsley gets a chance to play Mr. Freeze at some point during the Bat-sequels. That would seriously make my day if that was ever to be announced. :)

You know, the more I think about you having no problem getting thru a viewing of B&R. The more I'm starting to realize that Alicia Silverstone, and Uma Thurman (she looked really good as a redhead) must play a fairly big role in your ability to do this. :D

Superman IV at least had this.
[Superman and Nuclear Man confront each other in downtown Metropolis]
Nuclear Man: Where is the girl?
Superman: Give it up, you'll never find her.
Nuclear Man: If you don't tell me where she is, I will hurt people!
[Nuclear Man begins to cause mass destruction]
Superman: Stop! Don't do it, the people!
Batman and Robin was just a horrible flim, with no up-side.

Richard Pryor was in 3, the nuclear man was in Superman 4 the quest for peace. The Junkyard fight was in 3 with the two Supermen split by the crazy kryptonite created by Pryor.

I was never sure whether Superman actually split into two people that were fighting, or if it was all in his mind. Almost as mysterious as that weird net thing he threw from his S-symbol in Superman II.
I remember around when Batman & Robin came out, Smashing Pumpkins had a video from the soundtrack "The End is the Beginning is the End". It really is far more watchable than the actual movie.
As a kid I loved watching the fight between Superman and Nuclear Man. But the ending was lame, with the bad guy becoming powerless just from being in the shade for a second. And how the hell could that lady be alive when she's carried into space?

It can be a good movie to sit down and watch with nothing else to do.....as long as you leave your "comic book savvy" somewhere far away.

Without a doubt, Batman and Robin wins here.
From what I remember, the dialogue was atrocious.
