The situation: You can put one president from the past into the White House to deal with current events. I'll list a couple of things they must take care of, after that, you can elaborate however you wish.
Who do you choose?

-Relief for those struck by Hurricane Katrina
-The War on Terror
-High gas prices(It's $3.20 where I am right now)

I'll give my choice later.

1. FDR.

A dynamic politician. Vibrant, eloquent and intelligent.

2. Lincoln.

Tough minded, he'd make all the right decisions.

JFK

-The War on Terror

JFK or Regan had the guts and the balls to see this through.

-High gas prices(It's $3.20 where I am right now)

hmmm, I'd maybe say FDR, but I don't reckon there's much that can be done about high gas prices except deal with it. I think Bush COULD deal with it. He could -at the stroke of a pen- remove the taxes and stuff associated with gas (some folks would phreek out)

FDR. Licked the depression, saved the country from fascism, saved the country from communism, led us through WWII, and laid the groundwork for an era of great prosperity. Without question America's best class traitor ever.

Also, he's a package deal. Put FDR back in Washington, and we'd get Eleanor Roosevelt heading straight to New Orleans with a giant sack of moral authority over her shoulder.
