Superspeed - mach 5 for short bursts and a sustained cruise of mach 1.

A low level TK field that amps my 'durability' when im at speed so that i can punch etc when i'm running, negates most wind resistance and allows me to grip the ground etc... Essentially allows me to do all the crap quicksilver can.

You can do either or. You could get another power or upgrade your powers more, but I like your power because it is veru useful, espcially since you have that weapon....

And what I ment by mach 5 max is me hitting that speed for a few seconds and then being completely exhausted. Maintaining mach 2 for a minute or so is into the im grunting and my lungs are burning stage and all this is straight line on a running track stuff...

The Shapesifter brought it's arm up to block the sword, only it wasn't an arm anymore when it reached his face but a large bladed weapon and knocked the incoming weapon off course and away from his face. The Shifters other arm which had also become a blade weapon trusted towards NC's chest.

I tk block the attack, and try to stab it in the eye again, while trying to TK pull one of its legs out from under it.

Only to reform in flight. I dodge again and again only to be presented with 5 arrows heading towards me! But I notice something - the arrows take a fraction of a millisecond to turn. Realizing my only chance I set off towards the archers at full speed...

There is only one chance now - I really turn on the speed.... seconds seem like hours and minutes stretch to days in my perception. I run for all I am worth right at the last explosive arrow, chuck another metal sphere to help me kill my momentum and turn to the right at the last possible moment. The dark arrows turn after me but it is too late - one of them strikes the explosive arrow and in the resulting blast the archers are thrown into the air, their bows shattered and the dark arrows nowhere to be seen....

"Damn this is gonna be hard" I concentrate, I soon feel myself splitting. I finally create another multiple. "This is my max limit, I hope this will be enough". Then the two multiples go attack the wind guy, still holding each others hand for stability. They try to stab their enemy with their daggers. The wind guy simply turns into his wind form. Then by surprised, he finds himself covered with what seems to be garments. I covered him with all the various garments that were blown away previously, then I cover up his whole body making sure that there are no holes to escape from, should he turn into wind form. " I have finally trapped him" The others dig up a hole in the ground quickly and,with the trap puffing in and out like a balloon,I put him in the hole and quickly bury him. I reassemble myself into one and slowly walk out.

I flip backwards, get behind her and kick her in the back. Then dash away from her. As she recovers I concentrate and make a multiple of myself. "Two on one, I should use my numbers to my advantage". I wait for her to make her first move.

Gasping with the pain, I desperately try to concentrate again on the feeling of contentment, focusing as much as I can at the child. At the same time, I grab a handful of shells from my expansive pockets and hurl them at the child, also lashing out wildly with my feet in an attempt at an air-borne three-pronged attack.

Okay then. Let's say that Mags and I wander off a bit to see if we can track the clone warriors that got away. Anthony stays behind for a bit to secure the area.

The Alchemage will be waiting for the team in his lair, a huge square cave. The only entrance to the room is up in the middle of one of the sides. A narrow bridge leads to a distant platform on a rectangular pillar in the middle of the room.

On that platform, stairs form a low pyramid, at the top of which the Alchemage is sitting on his throne. He's wearing a heavy dark cloak, armour, and his featureless mask gleams in the light of the torches held by statues framing his left and right.

A glance down into the depths under the long bridge reveals spear like spikes, as one would expect from a spike pit trap. Even the sides and the ceiling of this room are covered in the same spikes.

The glass shattered, and resin began to crawl into the seams of the armor and harden.

In any case my course of action is clear: I spin my hands in circles generating a whirlwind that stops the fireballs in their tracks and sends them back at the imps.

"Water is held together by hydrogen bonds, which are far weaker than ionic or covalent bonds. I may not be able to reshape matter as well as you, alchemist, but working with the smallest aspects of nature is what Hedge Mages excel at."

He grins, allowing his lodestone to over just in front of him, which seemed to shimmer and sparkle fainty, almost imperceptibly. "You're probably noticing that my voice seems even and deep right about now, and that my stone is shimmering. That's because I'm currently using my lodestone to warp the light around it, much like the aurora borealis, only for a hypnosis effect. You alchmages power is almost always in the elements you transmute, as well as your intelligence. This particlar trick works better the higher the level of your brain function, as it strieks directy at your brainstem, as well as occipital lobes. You're going to find it quite hard to do anything but stare for the next few minutes."

You walk off into a room full of stones, you sit down on one of them. As you do, the stone starts to rise and rise untill you are almost 25'feet in the air, just about crushed into the celling. You look down to see a angry golem....

Wolverine, healed now, realize what is going on, takes off his shoe and throws it at the emegrency light, causing all of the lights in the room to go off. Sniffing he tries to find the scent of you...





Grim: Interesting tactic, but very foolish. You may have heightened senses, but I can see you just fine in the darkness. *Grim's voice seems to be all around Logan, trying to confuse him* I AM darkness. By dousing the light, you gave me exactly what I needed to beat you.


Grim: *The darkness suddenly seems to be alive as swords,axes,staffs,and other weapons made of solid shadows assualt Logan from every side and angle. The shadows then turn Scott's head toward Logan,and force his eyes open,thus sending a full and continuous Optic Blast right at Logan. After about a minute of this, multiple shadow weapons attempt to bludgeon Scott and Wolverine unconcious*.

Jeremiah did undeed fumble around a bit in his bag, withdrawing a small piece of red chalk. He then proceeded to draw a small symbol of odd characters where he stood, then withdrew a small needle and added a drop of his own blood from a pinpricked finger. The characters began to spread over the area, covering nearly every square inch of where Springheel stood, as well as over his own body and clothing.

"This area and myself are now shielded from your transmutation. And by the way, good sir, you really should have changed your armor to something other than metal." Jeremiah then hurled a bolt of St. Elmo's fire directly at the alchemist, shocking him greatly.

The alchemage adjusted the material of his mask's eye-slits to block out the mind-affecting frequences emitted by the lodestone, even as his cloak dissipated the electrical discharge harmlessly into the ground.

"I think you are overestimating the amount of protection your little ward offers."

A snip off the Alchemage's fingers, and part of the bridge close to the exit liquified and fell into the spikes below, leaving Jeremiah on an isolated part of the bridge supported by a lone pillar.

"Oh yes, I'm supposed to attack you. Here we go." A second snip of his fingers, and a circular section of the ceiling above came tumbling down, aimed for the hedge mage and his circle.

15 of the imps were killed. The last five, pissed as hell, fused together to make a Huge Imp monster. It stands 9'feet up in the air. It plunges it trident at you.

Grim: *Stumbles back in agony,then splits his concentration on three things. One, shadow walk (or fall,in this instance) back into his own shadow. Two, use the telepath's own shadows against them,sending them into their ears,eyes,nose,and mouth. When,or if I can do this, I cause the shadows to start whispering inside the telepath's heads.

I also try to enlarge the shadows,so as to cut off most of their senses and to cause them unbearable pain. Three,I use shadows to turn Cyke's head toward them and unleash as much concusive Optic Beam power at them as possible*.

The daggers break and the golem, still fuming, picks you off of his head and *slams* you into the wall.
The impact causes immense pain. But fortunately I still get up though very bruised. I concentrate harder than I ever have before. Though drained I am able to create my last multiple. Grim: *Stumbles back in agony,then splits his concentration on three things. One, shadow walk (or fall,in this instance) back into his own shadow. Two, use the telepath's own shadows against them,sending them into their ears,eyes,nose,and mouth. When,or if I can do this, I cause the shadows to start whispering inside the telepath's heads.

I also try to enlarge the shadows,so as to cut off most of their senses and to cause them unbearable pain. Three,I use shadows to turn Cyke's head toward them and unleash as much concusive Optic Beam power at them as possible*.

The telepaths force the shadows out of their heads. Jean and Rachel, laughing, sends a fraction of the Phoenix Force at you.

Emma, puts a protection bubble around James and Scott. She then creates TK birds and sends them at you.

The impact causes immense pain. But fortunately I still get up though very bruised. I concentrate harder than I ever have before. Though drained I am able to create my last multiple. The exertion at this temperature is taking its toll on me and a direct attack doesn't look like my best option. I get up, shrug off the effects of lactic acid, and formulate my plan. I dodge another attack and start running around it, just out of range of its attacks, and the resulting vortex starts to suck the air out from around the monster.

A snip off the Alchemage's fingers, and part of the bridge close to the exit liquified and fell into the spikes below, leaving Jeremiah on an isolated part of the bridge supported by a lone pillar.

"Oh yes, I'm supposed to attack you. Here we go." A second snip of his fingers, and a circular section of the ceiling above came tumbling down, aimed for the hedge mage and his circle.

The second vial is a very powerful spell I concocted just before I ran into you(it's true, check my earlier spell list). It's called 'Crimson Mist of Nosferatu.' You cannot affect it, because firstly, it's organic. Secondly, it's entirely supernatural in origin, fortified with the remains of a vampire, 18 warriors, and my own magical essense. Thirdly, it's already inside your body, draining your blood. Eve if you somehow manage to transform it into gas, the gas bubbles will be in your bloodstream, and will kill you."

As this happens, I use my Dark abilities to shield my mind from the telepaths and to create a shield around my person to protect me from physical harm*

I quickly run around the area gathering a few medium sized stones. Then I use these stones to bash against the blade of the sword(while staying away from the grip of the golem). Finally I take one of the broken shards of the sswordsand quickly slash at the shoulder joints to remove hime of his arms...

Backies. Now, it's time for Jeremiah to do what he does best: prepare.

With all these slaughtered corpses around, and with the whole group in one place, now is the perfect time to prep some spells.

1) Using the very last of both my blood spores and the vampire dust, including blood samples from all 18 of the dead clone warriors, to create "Crimson Mist of Nosferatu." This is a semisentient mist that I shall keep stored in a glass vial until an emergency. The mist kills enemies by draining all the blood from their bodies, and obeys me as long as a) it does not consume the blood of more creatures that was used in creating it(18), or something of a size and greater blood quantity than the 18 warriors combined. Also, b) I have dipped my left pinky finger in the combined blood of these 18 warriors, and cast a spell to bind it around the tip of my pinky. Washing or removing said blood can also cause it to turn on me and my team. After released, if it doesn't drain blood for 5 minutes, it disperses harmlessly.

2) Using the finger bones of the warriors, as well as a string from my own clothing, I make a small necklace, with one small bone kept seperate. With a complex ritual, I invoke my patron spirit to lend some power to the necklace. If I am ever to wear this, I will be possessed by this spirit(kinda like Jim Crow in Invisibles being taken over by Baron Zaraguin, only with physical changes as well). I become stronger and more feral, and my fingernails become claws. There are a couple downsides: after slaying enemies, I am likely to turn on my comrades, and the only way to snap me out of it is either to rip the necklace off of me, or snap the single bone I kept seperate from the necklace(I'll likely give it to Anthony for safekeeping). Also, I will be exhausted afterwards, and this particular necklace can only be used once.

And Jeremiah will be slipping the necklace on if the Crimson Mist don't work...

The Alchemage, seeing that the red mist swirling around him wasn't affected by the winds, was suddenly glad he was wearing a mask. He sunk into the ground as if it was liquid, leaving no trace of his passing. A few moments later, the entire massive central pillar holding the platform turned transparent, revealing the Alchemage standing in a bubble in the center of it, observing his opponents antics.

Also, according to WOTC's "Libris Mortis":

A vampire in mist form cannot be directed or dispersed(such as the divine spells Gust of Wind and Control Weather), only by the will of the vampire himself.

Since the mist is vampire-based, and magical in nature, fans won't work.

I quickly run around the area gathering a few medium sized stones. Then I use these stones to bash against the blade of the sword(while staying away from the grip of the golem). Finally I take one of the broken shards of the sswordsand quickly slash at the shoulder joints to remove hime of his arms...

Well, I was imagining it more like 20 feet away. It would have rolled down the pyramid of stairs leading up to my throne.

Well, I was thinking I'd use one level to give myself Dungeons and dragons 3.5 level 0 spells(cantrips), and the other to give myself the ability to ebcome a plant elemental. If I manage all 3 levels, I'll spend the last level on leveling up my current abilities.

Btw, what powers can I add to my lodestone on that list I posted earlier with 2 levels? What about with 3?
