Cleric of Hell's Brigade

Hmmm, well then, I'll recite the rune of fire that I got earlier(my other char has it, but I should be able to remember). Makes sense.

"You're not getting away that easily. Guys, keep guarding that altar."
I sling the shotgun back into storage on my back, and get out Swordcutter again. This time, I extend the emotional current through my gauntlets and into the Sword. Any being with a mind and emotions will feel a constant surge of fear stronger than my normal broadcasts if the sword strikes their flesh.
Sprinting as hard as I can, I dash into the dark where the creature dissapeared, holding the sword ready in front of me.
The creature manages to get behind you and rakes it's claws aginst your back, injuring you pretty badly.

Oh, you mean saying this:
"Bell-lot."
Elvish for friend.
Edit: I figured you may be going for an LOTR motif when you sent a blizzard against me as Saruman did. However, you didn't mention the "Speak friend and enter" thing, so I didn't say it.
Edit again: does this mean I'm about to fight a Balrog?

Remarks: Farslayer when thrown at a foe will travel any distance necessary to reach intended target. Skewers the heart (in case of a demon, the physical object housing the life). No physical or magical barrier (except, of course, SHIELDBREAKER) is effective. Must recite 'For they heart, for thy heart, who has wronged me' and then state the name of the person who wronged you and then throw the sword.

I cancel out the subtractive magic with more of the same. I then do a few things: first, I create Death Gates with saidin(gates that are nearly two-dimensional, and cut through most anything), and hurl them at him(ready to dispel them if they reflect). The second thing I do is take pieces of the floor, harden it to sharp spines, then rocket it at him with a short burst of magic(but letting the kinetic force propel it, in case his defenses cancel out magic propulsion). The, I try to collapse a portion of the ceiling on to him, letting gravity provide the impact.

Okay, I'll update the stats. Just to check, regen gets upped for all three creatures, right? Same level?
And for my powerup, I'd like to upgrade the various aspects of my skill of investing power in an object. Now, the object I charge can leave my touch and retain its charge. It'll only discharge if it touches the flesh of a creature with emotions that isn't me. Also, because I'm now more adept at charging emotional power, the objects retain a charge indefinitely.

FARSLAYER
(SW. OF VENGENANCE)
Symbol: target; that is concentric rings
Sound: howl
Remarks: Farslayer when thrown at a foe will travel any distance necessary to reach intended target. Skewers the heart (in case of a demon, the physical object housing the life). No physical or magical barrier (except, of course, SHIELDBREAKER) is effective. Must recite 'For they heart, for thy heart, who has wronged me' and then state the name of the person who wronged you and then throw the sword.
And a poem.....
Farslayer howls across the world
For thy heart, for thy heart, who hast wronged me!
Vengeance is his who casts the blade
Yet he will in the end no triumph see.
Not to rain on anybodies parade but you left out a big part of the swords power my friend. Once you throw the sword and it plunges into the person who has wronged you, their loved ones must pull it out of them and that is why the sword isn't useful. I think that we should make a mutal agreement upon this because from what it is saying, it could kill any enemy (even Jared because the SHIELDBREAKER doesn't protect their user) but he'll lose the sword. How would could we make it so that it would be fair for all users?
And also Cleric, I would like to go onto my second sword, if I can.

Sure, the Sword leaves the user, but think about it. If the one who wronged you is standing in the same chamber as you, then you can retreive it after you use it.

*AHEM* A quote from Wiki.
Farslayer is also called the Sword of Vengeance. It has a series of concentric circles in the form of a bullseye or target engraved upon its hilt.
Farslayer's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
Farslayer howls across the world
For thy heart, for thy heart, who hast wronged me!
Vengeance is his who casts the blade
Yet he will in the end no triumph see.
Farslayer is relatively straightforward in operation. The possessor must simply swing the blade around and think of the person whom they wish to kill, then release the sword. It is customary for the wielder to chant the second line of the Swords verse, "For thy heart...", as above, while they are spinning the Blade. This appears to be unnecessary for the proper function of Farslayer.
After launching, the Sword flies from the hand of its master, creating a shrieking rainbow-colored streak through the sky, terminating in the heart of the intended target. Nothing can be done to hide from Farslayer. The sword is intelligent enough to know exactly how to kill its target, including demons and gods. Farslayer will pass through any substance that is placed between it and its target. Assassinations have taken place with the target in houses, fortified castles, even in caves hundreds of feet under ground. Distance from the target is also no obstacle. Only Shieldbreaker and Woundhealer offer defense from the Sword of Vengeance.
However, once it reaches its target it remains there. Often, the next thing to happen is that the dead person's loved ones pull the Sword from the body, thinks of the person who hurled the Blade, and sends it back on its way. This is of course a major drawback, and makes employing Farslayer a risky proposition. This sequence is played out in a version of the Hatfield-McCoy feud over the course of the events contained in The Fourth Book of Lost Swords: Farslayer's Story.
That is what I meant.
Anyways, yes can I start my tourney for my sword?

Shileding myself from a rebound, I then cast wizard's fire at the cloaked figure. Cutting badly? He's a golem! A class 50 brick! Scimitars shouldn't do jack!

I take the punch with my shields, making them spongy so as to absorb the blow and draw him in(if sor some reason the punch goes through the shields, I'll use my magic to anchor and heal myself, so I can still do the following), as I use the Wishsong and Gift to spontaneously generate a sword out of thin air(both have been used to create material objects from nothing), plunge it in him(the sword will have a molecularly0thin blade, but will not in itself be magic). After it enters him, I then pump loads of magic(saidin, both side sof the Gift, st elmo's fire, etc) through the blade, making it a conduit so I can cook him with magic from the inside. I then use the Wishsong to make the ground beneath him rise up and impale him even further.

Ot: Thx.
Actually, I was more going for the wrestling hold and energy emission than punch, but meh.
I use balefire to erase the needles from existence, and then do what I did earlier: reduce the temperaure around the old man to near absolute zero, but only out to a few inches. This should at the very least slow him down. I then use magic to propel Block at the old man, dropping the cold field at the last second. Block will then put the old man in a wrestling hold and do the point-blank magic burst. I also use the Wishsong to make Block's golem-flesh spiked, so he can drive the spikes in to cut and allow entrance to the magic. Snarky will also go full-pseudonatural and use his tentacles to slow the old man down just after the cold field goes down(or if it doesn't work, I'll drop it and let Snarky handle it entirely).

OT: One question, will this magical explosion kill Block? Is this a suicide run for him?

Nope. Remember the earlier post:
A reflecting aura = hardy? Ok...
I slow Block with a cushion of air. I then send him after the big guy, as I cast dancing lights on the predator bloke, while also enhancing my sense with saidin. Shileding myself from a rebound, I then cast wizard's fire at the cloaked figure. Block, meanwhile, will punch the big dude, then put him in a wrestling hold, and unleash all of the magic I've stored in him at point blank-skin-to-golem-skin range, so it should penetrate any shields, and not be reflected(even it is, it will be re-absorbed by Block).
Basically, since he has the ability to absorb my magic and my magic only, it's just a draining of his batteries. If the energy rebound back to him though, since he can absorb my magic, he'll just replenish himself.

Ot: Thx.
Actually, I was more going for the wrestling hold and energy emission than punch, but meh.

The Explosion is huge. As the dust settles, only Block stands where he was, unharmed by the draining of his batteries. However, the old man isn't gone yet.
Somewhat battered, and bleeding from multiple small wounds, stands the old man (about 30 feet away from Block). His smile is gone, replaced by an angry glare. He mutters a curse and sends it toward Block. When the curse hits, Block stiffens and then falls over. Until the old man releases it, the curse shall continue to restrain Block from moving from that spot.
He then turns his white, glowing eyes toward you, and smiles. A ball of balefire and a bolt of subtractive magic leap from his hands and head toward you.

I counter with equal amounts of both magics(Rand has used balefire to counter balefire, and Richard subtractive to counter subtractive). I am then going to use the shards in this room to create a maelstrom of objects, and direct it against the old man. I am then going to use very bright light to momentarily to blind him. and while he is blinded and distravted by the maelstrom, I'm going to use my magic to lift block, then shove him on top(meaning from above) on to the old man as hard as I can. After all, just because he can't move on his own doesn't mean he's not still my weapon. And here's the kicker: right when Block falls on the old man, I turn the ground beneath him into poison-covered white-hot razors using the Wishsong. block's weight and force should shove him down into the razors, so not only will he be crushed, but sliced and burned as well.

I'm going to pick the character Drael(Dray-elle) from the comic I'm writing, as she's sort of based on me.
I have the power of interchangably manipulating emotional and elemental energy. I can use someone's strong emotions as a source of strength to focus on creating a number of elemental/magickal effects, to a limited degree of power.
I can't change the emotions in someone's head completely anymore than I can change all the ground around me into electricity, however, rather I implant emotions and generally screw with their heads.
Since this isn't the greatest battle power, I am also skilled in combat and quite agile. My two main weapons are a Chaos saber, which is a sword comprised of my Ki/Chi/Spiritual energy, and the Rose Buster, an organic symbiote-like energy weapon which can also focus my Energy; which forms into a Megaman style arm canon, only goopier.
If those fail, I have two emergency katana stored in two pocket dimensions on either side of my hips.
I hope this isn't overpowered...

The Old man, though blinded, summons an energy sphere into his hands. Just as Block starts to get close the old man pours more power into the sphere, causing it to grow larger and larger. It envelopes the old man harmlessly. but continues to expand in all directions (above, sides, below, front, back, ect...) blocking the attacks and protecting the old man. (The sphere is incredibly hard and durable on the outside, thus supporting and throwing Block away/off).

Sounds very interesting. Glad to have you onboard :) . Now, I'm only a Co-Mod, so I can't give you a thumbs up yet. You will have to get a confirmation from Jared_Humphreys and Corey Dreher, the other two mods.
If they say your character is okay, then one of us will be able to set you up for some fights.

Okay then...
I create darkness on the outside of the sphere, while also pulling all air out from around its perimeter, preventing more from coming in. He should have some air in his sphere, but not much. Additionally, he now can't see outside his sphere(I'll make both expand as the sphere expands, if needed, but expanding won't allow more air in, as it'll be occupying space where air has been removed). I then lift Block above him once more, and also turn the floor back to the hot razors. In order to breathe(as even mages need air), he'll have to take down the sphere and counter my air-removal spell. When he does, Block goes droppy, old man goes choppy.

I have no problem with the character, save it may be a bit too powerful for a lvl 1. That char seems to fall more in the 7-10 range for me. However, since you're a latecomer, and are thusly behind already, if the players are ok with it, I don't see why I can't permit it(though I have to say, I understand if the players reject that lvl of power from the get-go, as they've had to have several battles to get where they are now).
I need to see the players' responses before I can fully support a character of that high level of power at the onset.

The old man, though blinded in a differnt way now, just smiles and begins to expand his sphere. However, he adds a far more sinister touch to the outside of the sphere. Now, anything it touches will begin to be melted via an acid incantation added to the outside of the shere. The old man also sits cross legged and begins to chant, making hand motions at the same time.

Time for my version of 1000 years of pain.
you see, the problem with energy spheres(as someone, perhaps you, used against me earlier) is this: they don't include the ground beneath you. I use my magic to create a single white-hot lance of diamond sprout directly up beneath him(and since he's sitting cross-legged and chanting, that means no time to dodge. The diamond lance piercing him should cause his bubble to burst(if not kill him outright), upon which block will crash down onto him(if the spear impales him too, no biggy, I can fix him later).
If that doesn't work, all-out magical assault on the field(with protection from reflection).
And if both of those don't work, I gate Block inside the sphere, and do the drop there.

I'm fighting another Grinthorn golem? Or Grinthorn himself?
I never dropped the darkness field from around his shield, how could he know where I am?
Oh well. I counter with both magics, meanwhile uing the Wishsong to do what I wanted earlier: creating a diamond shaft to impale him from beneath. I also created three small deathgates, one above him, one behind him, and one behind me. If he teleports away, he shoudl teleport right into them and be bisected.

Scorpion, just before you decaptiate him, explodes, sending a huge wave of fire over you. Not only does it burn you badly but Woundhealer was knocked away from you as well.
SZ sends a wall of Ice toward you while Reptile makes a move for Woundhealer.
Anthony tries to create a Tk burst equal to stop the ice wall, then Anthony gives tries to gives reptile 4 commands ( most likely the only one I could control, as SZ is brain frozen, while Scorpion is dead):
1. Get Woundhealer
2. Run over to Scorpion to make it look like he is going to help Scorpion
3. Instead of helping, spit acid at Scorpion
4. Throw Woundhealer at me

You manage to cancel all out but one, which strikes you in your chest and hurls you through several stone pillars and lodges you *into* the back wall.
COughing up blood I attempt to take out my last herb and I rub it over my chest creating a healing affect on my chest. Getting up I take my sword and I shove it into the ground sending a huge water shockwave through the floor. I attempt to lead on of those shockwaves through the alter breaking it. I then attempt to send a water hand to grab the sword.

To those of you who have Swords of Power, here's a much better explanation of their abilities.....
Coinspinner
Coinspinner is also called the Sword of Chance. It has a pair of dice engraved in white on its hilt.
Coinspinner gives its holder good luck, and brings misfortune on anyone trying to harm or hinder its current possessor. However, the Sword of Chance is the most unpredictable of all the Swords, having the habit of leaving its owner when they need it most.
Coinspinner's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
Who holds Coinspinner knows good odds
Whichever move he make.
But the Sword of Chance, to please the gods
Slips from him like a snake.
Coinspinner seems to be endowed with a limited form of intelligence. Should one take one's eyes off of it, Coinspinner can teleport to a new destination and a new owner. The Sword is capable of generating distractions to achieve this purpose.
While a person holds Coinspinner, even if it remains sheathed in a scabbard, they are blessed with supernatural good luck. If they play poker, every hand wins. If they walk a tightrope, they would not fall, and if they did fall, one can be sure that the fall would somehow not harm them, and result in a personal profit.
A secondary use of the Sword is that it can function similar to Wayfinder, by pointing the user in the general direction of something they are searching for. It apparently doesn't home as strongly as Wayfinder, nor does it lead its possessor to interim goals required for successfully reaching the object of their desire. However, with the luck of Coinspinner, it is likely the user would be able to deal with any difficulty they meet with while en route.
Often Coinspinner will create a rebound effect of bad luck to its former owner after it leaves. It is not uncommon for Coinspinner to leave its master for his arch rival, with disastrous results. Therefore, Coinspinner serves as a wild card, making total control of the Swords of Power an impossible proposition. Because of this unpredictability, Coinspinner has often been the target of destruction for Shieldbreaker by those who wish to control all of the Swords.

Doomgiver
Doomgiver is also called the Sword of Justice. It has a hollow circle engraved in white upon its hilt.
Doomgiver is one of the least understood of all the Swords. Its verse in The Song of Swords hints at its powers, and is as follows:
The Sword of Justice balances the pans
Of right and wrong, and foul and fair.
Eye for an eye, Doomgiver scans
The fate of all folk everywhere.
Doomgiver is poorly understood because of the ambiguity of its verse, and because Doomgiver was rarely used in canon. It was observed to turn any attack directed toward it back to the source. If an arrow is fired at the wielder of the Sword of Justice, the arrow would turn around in mid-flight and fatally strike the archer. It also in general redirects maliciousness directed toward the one who holds it. For example, the goddess Aphrodite was entranced by her own power when She tried to seduce one who held Doomgiver.
The Sword may have had other properties only hinted at in its verse, but it was destroyed early on in the series by Shieldbreaker, making many facets of its power and use unclear.

Dragonslicer
Dragonslicer also called the Sword of Heroes. It has a stylized dragon engraved in white on its hilt.
Dragonslicer's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
Dragonslicer, Dragonslicer, how d'you slay?
Reaching for the heart in behind the scales.
Dragonslicer, Dragonslicer, where d'you stay?
In the belly of the giant that my blade impales.
Dragonslicer is one of the few Swords that is wholly benevolent in nature. In the Books of the Swords universe, Dragons are non-sentient predatory creatures that can grow to a hundred meters in length or more. The larger forms are capable of ravaging entire countrysides, and their hides are impervious to conventional weapons. Dragonslicer guides its user into the right place to deliver a fatal blow to any dragon, and can cut through dragon scale (and limbs, and tails, etc) as easily as soft butter. However, care must still be taken, for Dragonslicer does not actually magically protect its wielder against a dragon's various means of attack.
When not employed against dragons, it is simply a sharp, well balanced, and well crafted blade that is proof against most damage, but offers no magical advantage. Thus, it is one of the least feared of the Swords -- at least by humanity.

Farslayer
This sequence is played out in a version of the Hatfield-McCoy feud over the course of the events contained in The Fourth Book of Lost Swords: Farslayer's Story

Woundhealer
Woundhealer is also called the Sword of Mercy, and less frequently, the Sword of Love. It bears an open human hand engraved in white on its hilt.
Woundhealer's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
Whose flesh the Sword of Mercy hurts has drawn no breath,
Whose soul it heals has wandered in the night,
Has paid the summing of all debts in death
Has turned to see returning light.
Woundhealer is the only Sword incapable of killing, though it can cut and hack inanimate matter as well as any of the other Swords. Instead, when living flesh is pierced with the Blade, it has a powerful healing effect. The Sword can knit broken bones, heal disease, fix genetic disorders, regenerate lost limbs, and repair mental or psychological problems (including the effects of Soulcutter.) Properly employed, it can enable its user to sustain extensive damage without dying. Its healing effect can prevent amputation of entire limbs if the Sword is in active use; the blade heals the wound before the attack can complete it's path across the limb, and before the wound can start to bleed.
The sensation of Woundhealer cutting or piercing an individual is described as a sort of exquisite pain. Woundhealer works on any living thing, human or animal. It is not known to restore the dead to life, though it could arguably revive a recently, or clinically dead person.
Woundhealer does not project a healing aura. The blade must come into contact and break the skin of the person being healed. Woundhealer can be self administered. For example, one could plunge the Blade into one's chest, jump off a high cliff, and survive the fall, though it would not spare the individual from the pain and shock of the experience. The time of effect depends on the severity of injury or sickness, and proximity of the Blade to the problem area. While Woundhealer can eventually repair a broken leg by being stuck into the patient's heart, the healing is instantaneous when it is sliced through the affected limb. It has also taken Woundhealer several weeks to completely regenerate a lost arm after a single application.
When in action, Woundhealer emits a sound similar to a human sigh.
Woundhealer is the only Sword that has survived an encounter with Shieldbreaker, although the circumstances were unusual. The Sword was plunged into the heart of Prince Mark, the son of the god-like Emperor, at the time Mark's opponent attacked with Shieldbreaker. Shieldbreaker was then obliterated. The result was explained as occurring because Woundhealer was combined with the strongest weapon of all, the human heart. Many readers were dissatisfied with this outcome and explanation, which served as the climax of the entire Book of Swords series. It is unclear whether the outcome would have been the same if the tactic was tried by a character of less distinctive lineage, or by an evil character.
At the end of the Swords series, Woundhealer is the only one of the Twelve remaining in existance, the rest having been destroyed by Shieldbreaker.

Mindsword
The Mindsword is also known as the Sword of Glory, or by the pejorative Skulltwister. It has a flying banner engraved in white on its hilt.
The Mindsword's verse in The Song of Swords describes its power as follows:
The Mindsword spun in the dawn's gray light
And men and demons knelt down before.
The Mindsword flashed in the midday bright
Gods joined the dance, and the march to war.
It spun in the twilight dim as well
And gods and men marched off to hell.
The Mindsword is one of the more overtly evil of the Swords, as it is difficult to imagine a good cause Skulltwister would be associated with. The Mindsword, when drawn, compels absolute and fanatical devotion to the person holding it. It emits a bright glow and the faint roar of a cheering mob, which cannot be blocked out by covering ears or averting eyes. All who are in visual or aural range are affected. Not even the gods of the Swords universe are immune to its power.
The strength of the devotion is such that one under the Mindsword's power would even throw their life away if so ordered. There is no possibility of resisting or recovery, except for the passage of time. When removed from the Mindsword's presence, a person will gradually begin to lose the unnatural loyalty they felt toward the Sword's bearer and show signs of skepticism and then increasing rebelliousness before finally regaining their own mind. It takes around a week to fully recover, depending on the relationship between the target and the wielder, the wielder's own personal charisma, and the psychological resistance of the target.
The Blade seems to have another, lesser property as well - wounds made from its edge fester, preventing healing and possibly leading to fever and delirium. At one point, only the intervention of Woundhealer was enough to save one character from what was little more than a light wound.
Other Swords provide some protection from the mind-control effect of Skulltwister, by virtue of their hold on the user's psyche. Sightblinder has offered resistance, although it still takes a great deal of willpower from the affected wielder. Soulcutter will trump Skulltwister's power, but in this case the cure can be worse than the disease. Shieldbreaker offers absolute immunity when employed.
The Mindsword is one of the few Swords that is always "on". On occasions when it has been abandoned in an unsheathed state, it emits a constant flow of psychic strain that starts several hundred meters from the Blade itself, intensifying to near unbearable levels the closer one gets, inducing madness in those caught unprepared and without resolve. The "Sword of Glory" is one of the most sought after of all the Twelve. Tyrants want it to dominate others, and good men want it locked up where it can do no harm, or destroyed if possible.

Shieldbreaker
Shieldbreaker is also called the Sword of Force, and occasionally 'the Widowmaker'. It has a war hammer engraved in white on its hilt. It is arguably the most powerful of
