OT:

The schrapnel wouldn't get past the adamantium to get to Magnus face.

All the explosives will do is throw him around a little. Not any damage at all.

IC:

Magnus flew into the air and disolved into thin air.

He proceeded to speed up the ions in the Pilgrim's body to make him explode.

Ah, I didn't realize the helmet was THAT all-encompassing of your face. My bad. I suppose you're just tossed around like a rag doll then.

What have I missed?

Well, some folk are so desperate for a fight that they're actually letting me "mod" some duels(and, of course, I can't reward them anything, since I'm not a real mod of the thread...). I was kind've in a duel with Corey, but he's taken a long time to get back to it(and I already got what I wanted out of it, and can teleport out of it without much difficulty if another fight was available).

Jarrod, you are done for good now. I have found out some things that can't be blocked and sorry about your lodestone... hehehe.

First Itachi switches to Mangekyou. Rock Lee starts making a huge ditch with his fist. Negi and Hinta switch to Byakugan. Finding all of your 'Power points' starts using Juuken. Both of them charging at you, they both hit you in your chest, messing up all of your 'magic power' (I figure I can switch out Charka with your magic points, I mean fair right since you can be like super human). Sasuke, getting beat to death, goes into his first level of Cursed Seal. Itachi, fully charged, unleashes two very powerful attacks. First he uses Amaterasu, which is a very powerful fire attack. Said to burn for 7 days and 7 nights no matter what try to douse it. He shoots it at your lodestone, burning it up, or for the sake up the battle, blasting it away from your hands into the ditch where Rock Lee was digging. Itachi, gathering his charka back up, and then stares dead straight in your eyes. Smiling he then whispers Tsukuyomi. Your body begins to shake as you feel that your in hell. Having no way to beat it (Espcially since you don't ave your lodestone and since Negi and Hinta messed with your magic power you can't summon it up, nether less cast a spell) and plus only a natural born Uchiha can defeat it.

I must say my friend, I just murked your ass.

I'd love one. Just give me a few minutes to do the following...

Jeremiah focuses, and shatters the spacial geometry around him, propelling him through a spacial portal that defied Euclidean geometry. Jeremiah had obtained the prizes he'd sought, which were currently stored in his lodestone. He arrived in the old field where he had earlier faced Grinthorn, and took a minute to recuperate Here, he removed the two eyes from the dimensional pocket they had been stored in, and prepared a spell. With this spell, he sacrificed the two eyes he currently had in his sockets, an immensely painful gesture, as well as some of his own blood. With this sacrifice, he then merged and duplicated te two eyes he had taken from his foes, creating two hybrids in a form of magical meiosis. He then places these two eyes in his empty sockets, and uses his animal powers, magic, and lodestone to heal them in place.

Long story short: Jeremiah now has a byakugan/sharingan hybrid. He can switch between 3-comma form and mangekyou form of the sharinga whenever he wishes. His eyes are basically like the byakugan, only with 3 black commas(or the mangekyou slashes) near the center of the eye. Jeremiah now has 360 degree x-ray and telescopic vision, as well as move prediction, tsukiyomi, and the ability to summon the black flame.

Nope, nopey nope-nope nope.

Won't work, for several reasons.

First, I have the Bijuu, remember? The bijuu's sand automatically protects me from physical attacks, just as it did for Gaara. Secondly, I'm a plant/mineral/human hybrid. I'm not human, so no points. Third, I draw my animal powers and some of my Hedge magic from the morphic field and Earth itself. Most of my power is not generated from within. Not gonna work.

Also, my lodestone is indestructable, remember? Making it so was part of my level progression that you approved. It also levitates and moves at my direction, so it can't really be knocked away. I also said in an earlier post I avoid looking into Itachi's eyes, so that won't work.

And finally, give me one good reason that I failed to gain the eyes with the ability I used, except for this "DM preorogative" crap.

Oh yeah. I forgot about the Bijuu.

Maybe I should've read the lodestones upgrading more....

And lastly, DM preorogative? I just think that if you have a Bkyugan and a the highest level of Sharigan, that would make you like.... unstopable. THere is litterally no person I could put you against that you couldn't defeat because of one your lodestone has a mind of its own IIRC. Your 40X Peak Human, have a Bijuss, both eyes, animal powers, and the whole hedge magic.

Litterally, even you could take on the Thousands Master (Who is a living plot device) and kill him without really making a effort. So hence why I'm trying to make getting the eyes a little bit harder then just going at 40X speed to snatch it (Which is a good idea... but.. just seems way to easy). You get what I mean?

40x speed...AND the Slow Kryptonite reducing them to near zero thought/movement. That was my one use per battle remember?

And all the sharinga/byakugan would do is give me a gaze attac, and give me even more defense against physical attacks(which the bijuu already does nicely).

Well, I suppose it could also work to counter illusions.

And yes, you are using "DM prerogative" here. You're saying you won't let me get it because you don't wnt me to, and aren't providing any in-game reasons why.

Am I being a munchkin/rules hog here? Sure. But I'm also RIGHT.

Look man, I'm not trying to drive you away from this thread. You created it, and you've handled it well. And if you're really woried that much about me killinf off the Thousands Master, then either make him more powerful, or if you really need me to, I'll make a new character at half my current level, and put Jeremiah on pause until you're ready for the final battle(s).

My character is not invincible, dude. I've designed him not to have any glaring weaknesses, but there are ways to beat him. For example, back in the last match, you could've had Neji and Hinata disrupt the chakra in the bjiuu's sand defense, and had Rock Lee go Ura Renge, increasing his speed and strength enough to get through my defenses, and hold me and tilt my head just enough so that Itachi could've looked me in the eye and done his thing. And while I was frozen in the Tsukiyomi, you could've had Sasuke hit me with a chidori. All of those are within the characters abilities, and I would've been hard-pressed to counter. And when I tried to use the Slow Kryptonite, Itachi could have used his ring to make a genjitsu to make me think I'd done it(as he did against Naruto when the latter was trying not to look him in the eye).

That is just an example; I'm sure there are more things you could've done that I would've been fine with. My character profile is there for your perusal; take a gander and make your plans accordingly.

Again, I'm not purposefulyl trying to piss you off here. I just want to keep things creative but in-character.

Alright, lemme see, Anthony, tries to sever and/or "disable" the scar from the executioner by throwing objects at it.

A jagged piece of metal manages to cut a gouge perpendicular to the snake scar. The Executor stops just before breaking your nose, glances around, asks nervously "What have I done?" and flees.

Congratulations! Take a level for your effort.

So, how'd you like the multi-tier fight?

Don't worry. As a mod, I'll never put you in a situation which you can't get out of if you think smart. I most certainly will make you work for your levels, though;).

Anywho, after you defeat your opponents, the air in front of you shimmers, and you find a large fountain-like artifact that radiates energy. It has been hidden by an illusion the entire time. As you approach it, a wave of energy emerges from the artifacts and engulfs you, sending you hurtling through space.

You arrive in a damp cave lit by odd blue torches. The cave has a very high ceiling and slick floors, and is sparse on stalactites and stalagmites. As you glance around, you notice small altar lined with bones. All of the skulls have large holes in the back of them. The walls of the cave are adorned with various pictographs and tapestries, all of which are devoid of any real asthetic quality. As you begins to orient yourself, a gaunt humanoid emerges from behind the altar. Garbed in heavily-jeweled black robes, this pale-skinned creature has four octopus tentacles around a lamprey-like mouth. In a gnarled and dead-looking hand, it holds a large staff with a carving on the end that resembles a brain covered in vines or some sort of tentacles. Around its neck is a strange amulet. It regards you with a cold gaze and speaks:

"Long have I waited since my brethren denied me the immortality of being one with the Elder Brain, and much is the pain I have undergone to keep myself from death since that time. But now, with a brain such as yours, I can become more powerful than any could imagine!"

And with a gurgling hiss, he sends a bolt of mental energy hurling at you.

Actually, a D&D mind bolt is a ranged touch attack(and you get a reflex save), so techically it is dodgeable by those rules. Anyways...

...Your telepathic block manages to reduce the effect of the blast to a mild headache. As you launch your spear towards the Illithid, he counters with his own telekinesis, halting the spear's progress and locking you both in a titanic struggle of telekinetic wills.

Not only is the Illithid's mind too alien for you to comprehend, but it doesn't seem alive in the conventional sense, and its own considerable telepathic talent works to lock you out.

The Illitholich makes a sudden surge with his telekinesis, making the point of the spear face you and begin to inch closer.

In also using your tk to hide and move the diamond dust, you take up too much of your power to be able to turn the spear around. It still moves slowly towards you. However, you manage, with great effort to direct your diamond dust to shear off the Illitholich's free arm. It cries out in pain, and the spear is directed erratically into an adjacent cave wall. The Illithid then glares at you, and several creatures that appear to resemble brains with four clawed legs appear out of his staff and skitter towards you.

Lucky for me, the Shukaku's auto-defense shields me from the brunt of the explosion(the fact that I'm in hybrid form and have granite-hard skin and a vibranium-laced clothing helps as well). I use the silence Rune around myself to cancel out the wail, and thus the disorienting effect. Since I don't really have much in the way of organs in my hybrid form, the heart squeeze doesn't hurt that much.

You're going to put the amulet around yourself?

Hoo-boy. I didn't see that coming at all. I honestly thought you were going to destroy it. Okay, this is what happens:

The Illitholich's body disintegrates. Before you have a chance to celebrate, however, you feel a massive pain in your very soul.

You see, Liches create these containers for themselves called phylacteries, also known as "Soul Jars." These soul jars contain the essence of the lich, allowing them to regenerate new bodies for themselves. Because you took the amulet and placed it around yourself, the Illitholich is now trying to possess your body.

You mean astral plane combat for possession of the body? Good idea! Improv time!

You black out, only to find yourself waking on a lumpy yet soft and slimy surface. All around you, small spheres of light zip about. As you get your bearings, you realize that you are in an astral representation of your own brain. Standing in front of you is the Illithid, no longer looking quite as pasty and dry as before. I'm going to use my once-per-battle gem power. This time, it's one I haven't used yet: Onyx Supremium. Basically, it erases time. I'm to eradicate him from the 4th dimension entirely(but leave his material goodies behind).

Edit: added the word "material."

The Old man flickers away for a moment, then reappers. His head turns toward you, and you get thrown backward again.

OT: His magic and the magic items he carried allowed him to counter your Time Magic.

It isn't magic, actually, but meh.

Ok then. I am now going to use one of my mangekyou's abilities on the magical items(especially the cane): Amaterasu (Shining Heaven). It is a black flame that is said to burn as hot as the sun, and burn for 7 days and seven nights. It was once used to burn through the Gamabunta Shibari, a supposedly impossible feat. I may not be able to affect him directly, but his items are toast.

"Bring it"

Anthony waits for the Illithid to make the first move.

The Illithid waves his hand, and yellow flame blazes towards you.

The Staff, and a few of the other items are destroyed. The Old Man looks at you (not that you can see his face) and you swear you can almost see a malicious grin. He then waves his hand and a broad sword appears in his hand. He then slowly walks toward you.

I use the lodestone to transform the sword into air, then use the following magic against him:

Since he still has a mind, he should be affected by this:

Soul-Blasting Dread: absolute mind-numbing terror created from the power of Nyarlathotep himself. Without his magical items, this magic should be too strong and too alien for him to counter effectively.

OT: Anywho, work's done, time to go.

The sword does not disappear. In fact, it seems to block all the magic you throw at him.

Old man: *In a dry whisper* Behold! Shieldbreaker, The Sword of Force!

OT:

SHIELDBREAKER (SW. OF FORCE)

Symbol: hammer

Sound: thudding; slow rhythm when danger threatens, rapid in actual combat.

Remarks: violently trumps any and all other weapons, physical or magical, passive or active. DEMONS and WARBEASTS and MAGES also count as weapons for this purpose.

One fighter with SW OF FORCE can carve up an army (as long as they keep coming within reach) and survive unscratched. But user may be exhausted, even fatally, being tugged through violent exercise by this SW. Once in action, can't be dropped or turned off until the fight is over.

All other SWORDS are useless as weapons against person armed with this one; e.g., wielder cannot be tracked down by WAYFINDER or deceived by SIGHTBLINDER.

Only one way to beat SW. OF FORCE: SHIELDBREAKER will not harm the flesh of an unarmed person, and wielder can be outwrestled even by someone normally much weaker.

And a poem even goes with it. :D

I shatter Swords and splinter spears;

None stands to Shieldbreaker.

My point's the fount of orphans' tears

My edge the widowmaker.

Yeah I have the Sword of Fury. I'm going to check out those books tonight... seems so cool!

I think he can take it.. after all he is pretty damn strong. Also, can the Sword of Fury give some type of battle to it?

No, Townsaver will break if it goes agianst Shieldbreaker in battle. Only one Sword can stop Shieldbreaker, but you'll have to find that out on your own.

P.S. You have the books/got them from the library? Cool. :D remember, there are two series. The first is the Book of Swords. The second one is the Book of Lost Swords.

Damn. Then I must read the books to see what it is and then find a way to find it :D

I think I can do a boss fight, if it isn't too much (-AHEM- A level three Naruto verse character would be great :p)

Spide-man (My golem is that of Spider-man) easily dodges the blasts. He then webs up your feet, spins you around, and flings you through a stone pillar.

I create a water pillow and I use it as a 'shield' for my head. As I fall to the ground (Blood lust should be on right?) I start to sumn up all of my water. Making a huge ball I throw it up into the air and I jump up into the air and spike the ball of water with the Sword of Fury.

First I use my water to making a thin yet strong water covering around my sword. I rush up to Peter and drive my sword into him (I have the water shield thingy around it so it shouldn't break...)
