What are some actors that should only play heros or only villains in hero movies?

Cillian Murphy should only play a villian. He rocks as a villian. He did a great job in Batman Begins and Red Eye.

Clint Eastwood: Perennial hero.
Jeremy Irons: Perennial villain.
Eric Bana: Perennial Hero.
That's all I have for now.

I think these 2 would also make good antiheros.

Viggo Mortensen: Hero only
Sandra Bullock: Hero
Matthew McConaughy: Hero

Sandra was really quite good in Crash though, and she's unlikable in a good chunk of that screen-time.

Harrison Ford and Danny Glover: both have played villains, but I just can't get into the movies seeing them as villains. (Re: Danny Glover, I'm talking about his role as a psychopath but I can't remember the name of the movie.)

My current avatar (for the Comm Board's weekly avatar contest - this week's theme is character actors) is David Warner. Mr. Warner has very rarely played the hero - rather, he specializes in playing the villain, and does so with great skill.

He was in the ST:TNG episode "Chain of Command", right?
Torturing Patrick Stewart?

Yup yup. One of the Avatar pics is him playing Gul Madred, from that memorable episode.

Isn't it a bad thing if you can ONLY associate an actor with being either or? Shouldn't a good actor be able to play hero or villain well and excel at either role? Gary Cole is such an actor, I think. And Viggo Mortensen could be as well, he did pull off the devil well in The Prophecy.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and Mortensen was one of the bad guys in the third Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie.

Hence why Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle are my faves.

Anywho, as not to derail the thread...Jeffrey Combs. Even though he's the voice of The Question, a good guy, on JLU, most of his roles from Re-Animator to his various Star Trek roles have been from downright evil to just plain creepy.

Willam Defoe should only be a villian.
Gary Oldman should only be a villian.
Hugo Weaving should only be a villian.

Gary Oldman IS Jim Gordon, so that doesn't work.
Weaving was Elrond (and is playing V, although that's not really either)
Willem was the "hero" in Platoon.

Nah, gotta disagree big time, after seeing this guys play some serious bad guys especially Oldman, I feel they should stick to being villians. Okay yes they have played good guys, but jesus fuckin christ Oldman as Gordon, damn did I weep.
Also let me add Christopher Walken to the villian list.

Once upon a time, I'd have nominated Alan Rickman for villain duty(Hans Gruber, Sevarius Snape), but then I saw him in "Sense and Sensibility" as a sympathetic, if somewhat dour, naval captain who courted Kate Winslet. Not to mention the Metatron in "Dogma". I'd be hardpressed to call the Voice of the One True God a villain!
For hero, I would nominate Tom Cruise. I've only seen him play a villain twice(Lestat in "Interview with the Vampire", a hitman in "Collateral"), but he's best identified as the hero. Although lately he's done well playing troubled heroes(Minority Report, War of the Worlds).
Also, Jackie Chan. No one would ever buy him as a villain!
