I hope this hasn't been asked... I looked back through a few pages... but it's only 30 days away now and I was wondering...
Who's going to see it?

Yep. I just received the last disc of FIREFLY via Netflix, will be watching that, looking forward to the movie.

Oh, you're gonna love the final episode! It's the only "experiment" Joss was able to do in this show. (Think "Hush", "Restless", "The Body" or "Once More, With Feeling")

I'm probably going to go see it, based solely on the fact that I've really liked stuff that Whedon's been involved in. Actually, it was more finding out after the fact that Whedon was involved in. Wait, that's convoluted. Um... put it shortly. I know - I trust Whedon. That'll do. That, and hearty recomendations from people I know.
Also, the trailer kinda hooked me.

Im going to see it. I hope it does well so Joss would have a reason to bring back Angel, but to the big screen this time. I also want to see the Serenity crew finaly encounter The Reavers.

I'd like to see Angel on the big screen as well... but I think Firefly is MADE for the movies!
I personally can't wait!!!!

I didn't watch the show when it first started airing, but I am watching it now on Sci-Fi. And I LOVE IT!!!!
It is cool and quirky and well written and well acted and the characters are interesting. And it has 4 hotties on it.

Never saw Firefly, but Joss is "da man".

I chose "not on your life", however the category for "I'm not a Joss fan" was equally applicable.
There's no way I'll even be in the same movie complex while this movie is playing. Just to be on the safe side.

Yep. Just got into Firefly on SciFi and I'm quickly falling in love with it. I'm also a big Joss fan. The fact that he has complete control of a movie for the first time is great news.

This is number two after Batman Begins on my most anticipated movies!
I really can't wait.
I watched it when it originally aired on Fox and man did that suck because they moved the show all over the place... some nights it'd be on and other nights it wouldn't they really just fucked it.
It was the show that Enterprise should have been... but couldn't. It managed to create a deeper and better adventures that whip the shit out of Star Wars and Trek last few offerings.

Definately going to see the movie. Whenever they finally get around to showing it down here.
Currently watching the boxed set, and it hurts. To think that a show this good gets canned after half a season, while looking at some of the drivel that keeps going on and on and on...

Whoa, whoa, whoa, it's on Sci-Fi? When?
Friday nights just before Stargate. 6:00 PM Central in my market. And man is it fun to watch. My wife hated the mix of old west and science fiction, but after catching a few pieces of a couple of episodes she has gotten hooked on it and now watches it with me. So I should be able to get her to go see the movie which is cool because it looks just incredible.
I just wonder if Joss might get the chance to continue the series if the movie does well, or if maybe he is doing the movie to finish the story. Only time will tell.

Current plan is for a trilogy, I believe, but the possibility of a relaunch on TV is always there.

Why's that?
I watched the first episode (yes, yes, not the first intended episode, but the first aired episode). The Western motif didn't help, but it was classic Whedon writing, which I can't stand.
Every single character just happens to have a smart, witty comment for everything (as if they read the script and had time to prepare one), always ready, where the dialogue is all too "cutesy".

I know... shows like Two and a half men, or the pletora of CSI style shows that aren't ALL good, and even something like the horrible Friends stays on the air for a decade! It amazes me.
I know some people though that were put off by Joss's shows because you HAD to follow each episode or else you could be lost... and the shows reference things and people guest star from seasons past and such... but if Lost can do well, Firefly should get a second chance!!!

Does anyone have a link to a trailer?
I looked but all I seem to get are pop up sites and no pictures!

Go to serenitymovie.com or the apple website, with all the trailers.
I'm going to find out, this weekend, if it's playing in Westwood, and if there's going to be a midnight screening. If so, I'll be there @ 12:01 am!

I assume you mean "Objects in Space"? Yeah, that's definitly the best of the series (at least the best serious episode. For comedy, you have to go to "Our Mrs. Reynolds"). It's a pity, as "OiS" is an indicator of where the series was going, and how awesome it could have been if it continued.

Yep, that's the one.
It's an "experiment episode" in how it's structured, and in that it's about Joss's beliefs as much as about River.

I needed a "no, because I didn't see the series," although that'd be sort of a lie, because I saw what Fox showed before they announced it was cancelled, and thus I lost all interest.
I get the movie will tank. I don't think the trailer appeals enough to the general audience, but I could be underestimating word of mouth. But I think people don't generally like movies with "added baggage," like a whole season of a tv series to catch up on.

I'll see it because I love what I've seen of the show so far. (I'm watching the Sci-Fi reruns.)
Firefly surprised me quite a bit, because it's the only Joss Whedon project I've been able to stand.

I don't like Astonishing X-Men either. I know, I know, I must be defective. =(
But Joss Whedon did co-write Toy Story, so I'll give him that.

LOL
I only watched the occasional episode of Buffy because of Gellar... I thought she was hot. It wasn't until a friend of mine loaned me a bunch of episodes on tape (pre-dvd release) that she had recorded in order that I truly appreciated the show for how great it is... and after about 6 or 7 episodes I was HOOKED.

I saw two episodes of Firefly back when it was on Fox. I really didn't care for it.
However, I am an Angel fan, and the trailers do make the movie look cool, so I'll certainly give it a shot as a rental.

After watching Sci-Fi's latest airing, it makes me hate UPN more for cancelling Kevin Hill.
That Christina Hendricks is absolutely a hottie! mmmmmm
