I haven't seen anything updated beyond that he's missing, but it doesn't look good.

I realize he hasn't done anything recently, but Fats Domino earned his place in music history. Apparently he has been missing in New Orleans since Hurricane Katarina struck on Monday. I hope he's okay.

One small glimmer of joy amidst the mass misery that is Katrina.

See, now, here're two things we agree on.

First, Katrina is a massive disaster. I grew up in the Big Easy and my parents still live there. They're fine but they're pretty worried about their house as you can imagine.

Second, the rescue of Fats Domino is excellent news!

I thought Fats Domino had ALREADY passed away. But that's great news.

So how many other 1950s rockers are still alive?

All of the above are still with us. Berry will be 79 next month. Bo and Fats are both 77. Brown is 72. Lewis and Little Richard are 70.
