'Carrie''s probably my favorite.
Although I'm a big geek about the 'Nightmare on Elm Street' movies too.

Hmm. Mine is probably the PBS version of Dracula with Louis Jourdan.
Night Of The Living Dead (1968)
I'll second this choice.
I'll add The Wicker Man, Black Sabbath (1964) and Re-Animator as other obvious favorites.
Night of the Living Dead (1968)
Dawn of the Dead (1978)
Dawn of the Dead (remake)
JAWS
Halloween
Friday the 13th
A Nightmare on Elm Street
Hellraiser
Hellbound: Hellraiser II
Return of the Living Dead (1984)
Fright Night
Vamp

Aliens
John Carpenter's The Thing
An American Werewolf in London

I've got a few:
the Exorcist
Dracula both the Lugosi and Coppola versions
the Addiction Abel Ferrara's Vampire movie with Lily Taylor
Invasion of the Body Snatchers I & II and the third version Body Snatchers
Black Christmas
and what list would be complete without... Rosemary's Baby!
I've got to add the Howling! Such a great film, written by John Sayles, with a built in sequel, that was completely ignored so that they could make increasingly wierd and awful follow-ups! Remember the marsupial sequel?

Evil Dead trilogy and the George A. Romero Living Dead series.

09-01-2005, 08:28 PM
The Omen
Nightmare on Elm Street
Poltergeist
Rabid Trekkie
09-01-2005, 09:27 PM
Dracula (Bela Lugosi)
The Mummy (Boris Karloff)
The Wolfman (Lon Chaney Jr.)
The Invisible Man (name escapes me at the moment)
House on the Haunted Hill (Vincent Price)
Of course most of the old horror movies with Karloff and Price are very good and even some of Lugosi's bad movies are worth it just to see his creepy aura play out on screen. These new horror movies don't have anything on the classics.

Oringinal Texas Chainsaw Massacre

IT: Now I know why people fear clowns. If I saw an 8ft clown with sharp teeth Id probably piss myself. The book was scarier though.
The Shining
American Werewolf In London: They never make decent Werewolf films like that anymore.

Yeah that movie was horrible though, atleast the ending....if they changed it then I would've loved that movie.....

You should track down 1988's Killer Klowns from Outer Space. The movie is basically a black comedy about aliens--in the forms of monstrous clowns--out to eat humans for food.

I Actually liked the Salvini Remake of Night, it isn't as horrible as many people say it is. I don't like it as much as the original but it is still a nice Zombie flick. Tom just isn't as good a director as George was unfortunatly.

I've only seen it once, years ago, but I did enjoy it, just not as much as the original. The makeup sure was nice though.
Oh right, my favourite...uhm...that's tough. The Ring and The Blair Witch Project are probably the two latest releases that have given me chills, but all time favourite would be...Hellraiser, Night Of The Living Dead (original), or Evil Dead 2. Maybe. It's too hard to chose!
