Ladies and gentleman.

I present to you Jim Mahfood's wonderful artwork to the cover of my first record, The Funky Supervillain

Oooooooooh! I like it! The blocky style that he uses strikes me as being reminiscent of some examples I have seen of African art (as well as Western art inspired by it). As such it strikes me as very appropriate for an album of funk based jazz.

That's pretty damn cool. Is Mafood gonna color it or is the image just line art? Either way, it's pretty fucking awesome.

Edit: I'm assuming that the black bars or "letterbox" is where your name and album title goes.

No real story. Just the name of a tune that I wrote.

Good question. Hopefully it will be done by October and printed up then.

Well the guy who was going to mix my record bailed on me. But I made some phone calls and I have a really good guy who is down to do it, so the wheels are still in motion.

It's me with a band. There are three different configurations of musicians.

I don't know how much it will be yet CK, but I'll definately hype the shit out of it when it comes out.

In other news the guy who was going to mix my record just folded on me. I had a nagging suspicion in my head that he would bail. Even though that sucks I've found someone else who will do it for me but who'll probably be a little more pricey. But that's okay because this guy is the shit. He told me he can mix my record next week after he's done mixing the Count Basie Band's next record. Sweet.
