Did something change re: attaching pictures?

I ask, because I've never quite gotten the hang of "embedding" pics in my posts, so every time I've uploaded something from MY system to CBR, it's shown as a link (for others to click).

today, for some reason, it's putting the pics into the posts.

I always thought you needed a "hosted" site for that?

I LIKE this change. . I'm just wondering if it's a permanent one.

I was playing with the attachment settings yesterday, actually.
If it's inserting thumbnails like that, then it's a good thing for sure.

What I hope to do, is have attachments appear as small 100x100 pixel thumbnails in posts instead of full sized images (full sized can really suck for those people on data capped net access plans or slow connections).

That, however, requires Jonah to do something with the PHP settings so it may have to wait. Still, I'm playing with the settings even as I type this so you never quite know what might happen.
