i finally realized something. Loeb wasn't trying to make superman.batman suck. he was trying to get dc to bring back challengers of the unknown only with superman and batman because nobody would buy a dr. fate and random precrisis heroes book.

I'd love Goyer to stick around. Isn't he doing an arc following Loeb's run? Put Goyer and Porter together on the book and I'd come back to it.

Busiek and Joe Mad.

Too bad Mad is exclusive to Marvel though.

Joe Mad?

Wouldn't it be cool if Superman Batman came out on a semi-regular schedule?

Of course not.

My suggestion was meant more of an arc than a regular gig for Mad. Should've made that more clear.

I think that if he's motivated enough, he can do it.

My first thought is Morrison, because, y'know, that's my first thought concerning any book.

Is Mark Millar Marvel exclusive? If not, then heck yeah.

I want to say Joe Casey but I also remember his Superman run.

I'm gonna go with Morrison as well for the writer. As for the artist how about Joshua Middleton or one of the Kubert bros.

Hmmm.... Morrison/Quitely would rock, but they're often a team... what about Casey/Quitely? Or Morrison/Pacheco? Busiek/Kolins? Kirkman/Immonen?

I dunno what the plan is, but I think making the comic more in the vein of JLA Classified with constantly changing creative teams would be cool. Since both of these characters are locked up with their own books, a regular creative team really couldn't do much with them. Better to just bring in a variety of different creators to do the best story they can with the two biggest superheroes in the world.

Millar/Hitch would be ideal.

I bet Gail would do a great job too.

Peter David and J.G Jones would be awesome.

they should have one writer and like 10 different artists with a mostly full schedule either doing an issue a piece or a few pages or whoever they can have a schedule.

They should end Superman/Batman when Loeb leaves.

Replace it w/ either Supergirl/Batgirl or Superboy/Robin, preferably w/ Geoff Johns and either Jim lee or Rags Morales. Start w/ a new #1 of course.
