"A Dame to Kill For is the basis for the second one," it'll also be shot in green-screen and "I think Marv (Mickey Rourke) will come back, before he died and Dwight’s (Clive Owen) in that one, Gail's (Rosario Dawson) in that one, both Goldie and Wendy (Jaime King) are together, you see the twins together – one blonde, the other black and white, Miho's (Devon Aoki) in that one, and then there's a bunch of new characters," Rodriguez said.
"We're still writing the script to see if there's enough for a third one or we might just stick with the second one," he said, which will start filming in January or earlier.

We met with Danny Trejo and while talking he had told us that he will be in "A Dame To Kill For" but what character he will play is unknown because Rodriguez is still not done with the script.

Robert Rodriguez has always thought of Salma Hayek when having a project in his mind.
After their collaboration for the Desperado films, Rodriguez couldn’t find spot for the 39-year-old in Sin City, but he is ready to offer her a major part into the imminent follow-up.
"I always consider Salma for my projects, even for male roles", said the Texan director, who mentioned that “there is a character that suits her in this new movie."

It's unknown at this time whether Miller will make another cameo in the new movie - in the first, he played a priest murdered by Mickey Rourke's character Marv.
Miller also notes that the plot for the second film will come from his acclaimed Sin City graphic novel A Dame To Kill For, "plus a new story that I've created for [the movie] that weaves in and out of the larger story." This should comfort fans who are worried that the film franchise will end when the previously-published material runs out. As Miller puts it, "I don't really plan on running out of [material] 'cause I'm still doing [the comics]. ... There's material in my head that could go on forever."

Frank Miller has confirmed that he is working on new Sin City storylines. The following have been mentioned:
Nancy avenges Hartigan's death by killing remaining members of the Roark family. Miller says this will show "a whole new side of Nancy." This story has been confirmed as one of the main stories for the planned movie Sin City 2.
Many things will be revealed about Hartigan's past, such how he got the scar on his forehead.
A completely new story with completely new characters. It is possible that Miller may write a story focusing on a brand new villain rather than a hero (such as Marv, Dwight, Hartigan, Wallace, etc.).

Thier should be a scene where Miho and Jessica Alba lez out. No sex or nothing, just making out. Not plot or nothing. I would watch the movie like 100 billion times for that.
So would you. You know it. It would be a huge blockbuster just because of that.
Oh yea, I'm sure the movie will still be good no matter what.
But the lezzing out would be awesome...

I think it's pointless to make a sequel. I mean, almost everyone died, the war is pretty much over, and the good villains are all dead.

A prequel is pointless as well.
Who do you consider the good villains that aren't going to be in it?
