House of M was not only to tear the entire internet in half, but it also seems to me to be a moment of transition from one era to the other; I could be wrong. However, I see changes coming, new books, perhaps new directions in some cases.
Which book are you most excited to read of them all, given what we've been told already?
I say Astonishing X-Men. I am excited to see if Joss' second year can be as good as his first.

New Excalibur is the book I'm most looking forward to as a RESULT of House of M.
I'll still like the core books better, I just don't think they'll be all that different afterwards.
X-Factor is a close second.

Switch X-factor and New Excalibur (though I'm not looking forwards to either as a Result of House of M, but more based on the creative team, theme and line-up of each book.)
Cable&Deadpool and the core books seem to be mostly the same pre- and post.
New X-men will have to work very very hard to convince me that it is better than the previous incarnation.

X-Factor for me. I just want to know what PAD does with this crew. New Excalibur would be there, but there's no Meggan and there is Pete Wisdom. So, well, it scores under X-factor.
Looking forward to Colossus:Bloodline very very much.

Yup, (where have you been the last couple of weeks, it's been mentioned in over 5 threads) the old team is kind of history after HoM, there will be a new line up, only 2 remain: Surge and Elixer. Dust, Mercury, X-23, Rockslide and Hellion will be added to the team. Wher the others will end up:.... no one knows,... yet...!

Excalibur, 100%!!!
Just in case anybody's wondering why....
BECAUSE IT HAS DAZZLER IN IT!!!!!! I've waited so long for Dazz to be in a monthly book again, and if anybody beats me out on doing the review/spoilers thread, i'll eat their face with A1!
*ahem* Now that THAT unpleasantness is behind us... I'm also looking forward to it, because it has many other characters i enjoy- Juggernaut, SAGE, Captain Britain, (I'm hoping that this will restore a little bit of his quirkiness) and Nocturne (who you know will play up Dazzler pretty well). I'm also looking forward to the inclusion of Wisdom, who i may end up enjoying under Claremont's pen. Claremont always seems to make me like characters that i either don't care about, or downright LOATHE. (Like Bishop and Gambit) Plus, i think Sage and Wisdom will prove to be an interesting pair.
Throw in some London chapter of the Hellfire Club, (maybe?) And this looks like it's shaping up to be a mighty fine book.
However, X-Factor is a close second. I loves me some PAD comics.

Thier keeping the ones I wanna read about like Julian and Dust.
Excalibur is being revamped from that godawful mess that was the previous series. Hopefully Claremont doesn't write anything boring. Thats my wish. Look at what made the previous series suck and don't do that. ;)

 Thirty-four posts and I'm the only one looking forward to Wolverine post-HOM???
I am optimistic that Wolvie will really have some major changes, hopefully the permanent retention of his memories. Man-oh-man, there could be some really interesting storylines as he tracks down his past. The previously-unremembered wife! How about some grown kids who have issues with Daddy Dearest disappearing for a few decades! Then there were those years he was a roadie for Kiss!
Bring it on, Marvel. Let's expand on Wolvie's long and intriquing life.

See, that's part of the problem with Wolverine. Even Claremont has said he's become less intresting to write after all the recent changes. He's no longer the mysterious clawed canuck who was like 'The Man With No Name'. So he's lost a little of what made him so special and intresting to read about. And given CC's recent comments, I think that HoM will make him even less special.

The only other legitimate female Captain Britains are Captain UK, Justicer Bull, & Psylocke as Captain Britain. There is also an alternate female Captain Britain who was Franklin Richards bodyguard...
The Chuck Austen Captain Britain did not have too much thought put into her characterization.
Even in Uncanny X-Men #462, Brian Braddock resumed his Captain Britain--not Kelsey Captain Britain...

After which "recent changes", Beast? I don't think he need be less interesting. What he needs are more creative writers who know how to expand on the character. Evolution is necessary, not stagnant repetition of the same stories.
I often reach back and reread old storylines (due to my search of recent times in trying to work superheroes into some mode of therapy/character-building exercises for my patients) and that deepens my appreciation for the growth Logan has gone through.
Streator, I'm sorry you've been so disappointed that you're dropping the title. I hope they give you reason to come back to the fold.
(It's funny how humans tend to get very connected to their chosen legends/symbols/archetypes whether it's a comic character, a basketball team or a rock star.)

But Wolverine doesn't really evolve. Just some of what makes the character intresting is the fact that his past isn't fully known to the reader and especially the character. But Marvel's been deconstructing and revealing so much about Logan, that many writers don't seem to like using him much anymore. Just look how little he shows up or is actually used in the core X-Books anymore. Here's what CC said about it.
Dear David:
Actually, the "Doc McKenna" story was proposed by Mike Marts, based on the info provided in Uncanny #444 (amazing what a single page can accomplish.) We just haven't got around to (a) sorting it out, (b) getting approvals and (c) overcoming (and I'm afraid this is my personal bugaboo) all that Logan is going through lately, not to mention the after-effects of HoM. To me, he's lost / losing a lot of what made him fun to write as a character.
Cordially,
Chris Claremont

I agree Beast. Wolverine has not been written well since Claremont's *0's Wolverine stories :( . And yet he is still the most interesting X-Men character because the other X-Men have been written no better since the 80's as well.

I'll tell you which ones. When other writers besides Claremont got their Hands on Wolverine in the 90's, they took him in a completely different direction as a character than Claremont had established and ruined him :( . His totally cloudy past, was slowly revealed and it really got crappy with Origin's revelation that Logan is a back woods hick  . Instead of adamantium implanted claws, they were revealed to be bone, and Wolverine was turned into a bandanna wearing half man, half Wolverine creature. His master Samurai Warrior persona, has been all but phased out completely. His bar room brawling, beer drinking, cigar smoking, lady pleasing, adventures are all gone as well. Wolverine is now as generic a character as Spider-Man, Batman, and Superman. What a waste of a great character.

Austen's Captain Britian did have some charactization. In fact I think had they not " chucked it all" to do Avengers : Diss-Assembled plans were to expand on the female Captain Britian and her sad fate of not showing her idenity to her children.

On the other hand, he's devoting his energies to leaving a trail of, what, eighteen hundred corpses from Jersey to Japan to find out the burial place of a poor kid. He had to kill them, evidently. And, after all, they were only lowlifes.
