I made them for another board, so i know they are to big for this place.
I just thought you'd all get a kick out of them . . . besides, you can shrink them if you have the right software :)

Yes. No offense meant, but I'm probably no more computer literate than all these shrink-beggars we get for every contest, and I manage.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in the same spot for hours on end with a blank look on his face, achieving nothing. So you see, the internet message board parallels are strong indeed!

It's easy. Just use Microsoft Paint and stretch the image down to the size you want.Well, AFAIK Paint isn't able to retain the image's aspect ratio when resizing by pixel. It sucks having to whip out a calculator just to resize a picture to a specific size without squashing it in one direction or another.

If your computer has Microsoft Office Picture Manager, you're home free. Just click on any graphic file (don't open it, just highlight it), then right-mouse click, and select Open With. What options appear?
(And if you're Mac, you're screwed.)

What I usually use is Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.com) :) Under 900Kb to download.
1. Right click -> Copy an image from somewhere
2. Paste into Irfanview
3. Select a square (the selection edges are adjustable, which is really handy)
4. Edit -> Crop
5. Image -> Resize
6. Image -> Effects -> Effects browser -> Sharpen about 5 or 10
7. Copy and paste into Paint and use the Rectangle tool to add a border, if you want
8. Save as GIF (256 colors) or PNG (more colors)
For simple animations, there's unFREEz (see sig). Drag and drop GIF files into the program, set the options, and save.

On the Mac, I use Graphicconverter. Very quick and easy. Make a new image at 80x80 (or whatever size you want), paste in the full-size image, and hold command while dragging the borders of the image into the 80x80 frame.
I haven't found much for animated gifs. The app I've used in the past is Gifbuilder, but it's clunky and pretty limited. Takes trial and error to make anything good.

At some point I may try out the Gimp's animation package.
On a tangent, the Gimp's UI is a pain to work with when I have the picture window maximized (which is my usual preference). Damn toolbox is never where I need it. (That is, when I want to switch tools I look up and realize the toolbox has dropped behind the picture window. Then I have to go down to the taskbar and find the toolbox window. I swear that realization never gets less jarring and irritating. It's like popups during browsing (God bless Firefox for blocking most of those :cool: ))

Cool avatars. If I remember correctly, the Harley Quinn avatar I'm currently using is from Steeven. I just took out the color because I'm a bland person.
I especially like the G.I. Joe mugshots of the earlier action figures. I always felt they were the best ones, probably because they were the ones I didn't have. By the way, where's Serpentor?

I still have a long way to go before I get all the G.I. Joe Action figures on there.
Then I may move on to other 80's action figures like Transformers and He-Man . . . hmm, then I can create an 80's Action Figures category.

You have to resize them to 80x80
Is there some "trick" to getting Microsoft Picture Editor to go to 80X80? It only took me about 3 years to realize that I have Microsoft Picture Editor, and I'm still learning how to use it, but I've had no luck getting things to just that size.

Well, if it's anything like Microsoft Office Picture Manager, then you just choose "Picture" from the top, and then "resize" from the "Picture" menu.

It's not quite like that, when I try to resize the length, the width changes at the same time. I've just it to go to 80X65 which I think will work. Whatever I did, I got the Deadshot one to fit. Thanks again for providing it.

The file's a bit too large. 19.5 kbs is the limit.
I assume the configuration of your av has some personal signifigance as I must admit, the juxtaposition of Edward Longshanks firing beams from his eyes and Rachel Gray doesn't make much sense to me.

Please don't take offense but:
1) Many of us don't know how well you are at Photoshop.
2) Some of us are professional working artists who are really skilled with Photoshop.
3) Many people are happy with their Microsoft Paint and/or Photoshop Elements skills.
