The USPS lost my tickets. My Georgia season tickets. They show as delivered and signed for at my work address, but they aren't here and the signature is not someone who works here. I am not pleased.

If it's not your signature, couldn't you come back on the USPS for reimbursement?

I agree with borateen's suggestion. Also, if the signature is legible, you could try to track down the person who signed for the package.

Similar things have happened at my job. We are in a building that has multiple suites, with multiple businesses. Sometimes deliveries are made to the wrong businesses and it's not discovered right away.
I hope that's what happened AND that the signer will give up the goods.
Good luck, man.
(Oh yeah. If UGA sent them, I'd expect them to assume some responsibility, or at least make an effort to get the product to you. Their weight may help your case.)

I'd alert the UGA and have them work on the ticket scam that may happen. They can reimburse you and you can get your tickets back or money....eithor way.

Some months back, my sister's boyfriend had some expensive (~$500) recording equipment shipped to his home by either FedEx or UPS. It didn't show, but the delivery company recorded it as having been delivered. When he spoke to someone on the phone, they told him that it had been signed for. But only he and his brother live there, and neither were home at the time and neither's name appeared on the form.
The name? "F. Rontdoor"
He went through the whole dispute process, and the delivery guy insisted that he'd dropped it off. He even came by the house and pointed out where he claimed to have left it. And he claimed to have left it by a tree in the front yard. Yeah, right.
Basically, after some time and hassle, he got his equipment. With some phone calling, I feel confident you can straighten this out.

That stinks, macul. I hope you get compensated in some way, shape, or form.

UGA opening Game Day tickets?! This sounds like a cause for a mob with pitchforks and flaming brands to me.

I know how much you love the Dawgs, and I'm truly sorry you got screwed this way. Pursue it with a Bulldog tenacity, and don't give up until you get a new set of tickets, macul, on USPS's expense. Go up the management line till you get tangible results.
In an aside, our dork of a mail carrier put a box of checks in our mailbox the other day. The street address was 5088, and ours is 5080---but we're on different streets in the same subdivision, and the name is completely different from ours. I held onto it, planning to go stick it in the right mailbox but hadn't had a chance yet... when our dork mailman delivered a pkg. to our door today. I made him wait, and gave him back the checks (yes, unopened), and told him he'd put it in the wrong box. He was grateful, at least, especially that the pkg. was unopened.
We've had that happen before: us getting a neighbor's mail, or our mail going to a neighbor (the folks next door have brought it to us; gods only know what else never made it back to our house from those living further away).
Sometimes I wonder if that guy can read.
We never had any problems with prior carriers, btw---but this guy? Argh. And he's been with us for a couple of years, now, and looks like he's here to stay. Dammit.
PS---do the tickets have anything on them that identify them (your name, or a number that's registered w/UGA athletic offices)? If so, you could also push for them to issue an alert to the ticket booths, and have them check for the numbers/name at games. Maybe they'd catch whoever signed for and took your tickets.

C'mon Mac...I need an update. I want to live vicariously through you while I'm wishing I was at the Boise State-Georgia game instead of watching it on tv.

Macul, is there any chance you can be compensated for this by USPS? By the league?
That's total bullshit and you have to wonder who ripped you off. It could very well be a coworker using a fake name.
Give us an update. I'd hate to have to hear about this on the news when you kill the guy.

Tickets were located. I forgot to come back and update.
Not sure what happened, really. The delivery showed as delivered and signed for, but I eventually got ahold of the courier who told me he still had it.

If you hadn't gotten the tickets, you could have bought another pair of tickets for the game, and then gone to your real seat and beat the crap out of whoever was sitting there.

ha! Good one.
I'm happy for you macul. That REALLY sounds like some shady shit... already signed for and the driver still had it. Shame on whomever.
