IF Superman decides to hang up his cape who do you feel has the potential to carry the torch when that time comes? Current Supergirl or Connor?

Superboy, definitely. He's shown a great deal more intelligence and maturity than Supergirl has up to this point. Though the current version of Kara Zor-El would have an additional superpower of being able to turn invisible when viewed from the side thanks to the two-dimensionality of her current character.

Most definately superboy. The entire new supergirl(extra cousin) is a joke. At least superboy stays true to his core.

I am insulted you didn't pick Steel. John Henry has more heart and soul than either of those two children.
After that, Superboy definitely.
I like the PAD Supergirl, have not decided on the Loeb one quite yet.

Well honestly I wanted to add Powergirl on the list but there were two things that kept her from making the cut.
I Steel would have been a good choice but youth isn't on his side at this one.

Yeah, he's still a clone of Superman and West--er Luthor.

Yeah, even though he wasn't a choice I'd pick john Henry too. I'd love to see his armor redesigned also.

Id say Superboy due to the amount of development he has over Supergirl. Knowing DC they would choose Connor over her, if it comes down to that, anyway.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Just what do you mean by "carry the torch"? I expect both of them would continue to fight crime on a regular basis, but I don't see either of them becoming a sort of Senior Statesmen figure in the DCU superhero community right away, not with the degree of respect that Superman gets from lots of second- and third-string superheroes, as well as the general public. Not anytime in the next five or ten years, anyway.
And I doubt you mean "which one would take over the name Superman to keep the tradition alive?" because I really don't think anyone would feel comfortable seeing Kara flying around calling herself Superman.
Perhaps you meant, "Which one would have enough popular appeal to successfully carry about four monthly titles at once?" My answer to that question would be: "Neither of them."

Aren't they all in a sense carrying the torch. I mean, if Superman retired it isn't as if Supergirl and Superboy would START being a super-hero. They already are. I don't understand the question. Do you mean who would take his name? Obviously Supergirl couldn't, being that she is female. :D
