Pat Robertson isn't a Christian in any sense of the word I can understand. Robertson is a Republican and apparently an advocate of terrorism. (Robertson also once suggesting dropping a nuclear bomb on our own State Department.) According to Chavez, he might have grounds to take legal action against Robertson. This, I would love to see.

In the end, I pity Jesus. That this is the kind of man many Americans choose as their source for His message shows just how fucked up that religion and this country really is.

Alas, no source I've seen used the obvious headline: Radical Christian Cleric Calls For Violence.

The best part is his new defense: "I could have meant kidnapping!"

Just like Jesus would do.

"I was misinterpreted." Yeah, just like you were set up by Falwell after 9/11. Loathsome lizard.

I'd like to see that. People need to have the parallels between this and the sort of stuff that we're supposed to be fighting against.

Right, because there is really no differance between Robertson saying something stupid and the state sponsored terrorism that is such a huge part of Islam.

Come on!

I'll concede the bit about Robertson, but you have no right to say that terrorist groups and states that sponsor them are a "huge part" of Islam. You really need to calm down.

So you're saying I should put down the rifle and climb down off the bell tower. Ok, thanks for the advice.

By the way Robertson said he was sorry today. So I guess the terrorists you equate him with will be doing likewise.

Me holding my breath ---> :(

By the way I have a perfect right to say terrorism is a huge part of Islam. Not only is it my right but its also the truth.

Glenn--

You're a total prat. I'm so completely sick of the bullshit you spew around here. I mean, I'm sure it's terrible being the only 17 year-old on your block who's so socially backwards that the only hope you've got is posting on a comics board, but still...

Grow up.

You spend huge amounts of time trying to sort the world out into black and white morality games, where you get to fit yourself onto the winning team.

That's so completely not the point.

Instead of making a big stand on simplistic points on a bulletin board, why don't you actually get involved in something where you'll learn.

Go work in a homeless shelter.

Sign up for the war.

Go work in the third world.

Anything but continue to just pound out opinions that have no basis in experience.

Because it's just tiresome.

He's right. Terrorism is a huge part of Islam. Islamics have been subject to American terrorism for years.

Lemme get this straight...

So now I can say anything I want as long as I say, particularly about heads of state, as long as the next day I'm sorry?

Shutting this conversation down now. I don't foresee anything coming up but the usual pointless rancor and bile.
